lol what?
- 2Real

Flyers had 26 attempts to 15 in the first, hit 5 posts, had a goal disallowed, NJ 2nd goal went in because goalie was hurt and goal #3 was an empty netter. What am I missing?

I'll just say we disagree. I have no issue with anything Simmonds did there. It's just bad luck.

i give credit to KK, for not giving up on the play.

this was like watching every goddamn flyers-devils game from 1994-2004, especially those played in philly.

5 posts
99239 shots right into the goalie with no screen, deflections or lateral plays
missed a literal 24 SF of empty net at 2-0 by hitting a diving defenseman's stick.
disallowed goal
whole lot of perimeter
2 goals allowed off turnovers, 1 early, 1 late
injured goalie

(frank) off.

The radio broadcast kept mentioning how aggressive Kinkaid was cutting down angles all night anticipating the point shots and that the flyers have to take advantage of this with more lateral plays...which of course never happens

In everything but the score. No moral victories. 4-6 on home ice.
- MJL

Sometimes those games happen. I had an entire season where we lost games because there was some weird ass bounce that found its way into the net. Im not joking when I say one happened every game. We even lost a playoff game in OT when the puck went out of play, bounced back in right to the opponents Dman and they scored.

I want Hextall’s head at this point.

Zero faith he makes the required change. 264 and counting.

Perimeter and passive play obsessed with point shots. Countless games with a poop PK for multiple seasons.

These are not the Flyers I used to cheer for. If G or V don’t mask the glaring issues they are exposed.

(frank) them all. Keep trying to gimmick the fans into cheering for a product that puts meth heads to sleep.

Everyone could also see in the Colorado game this season that the player interfered with Elliott but the goal counted. Hakstol was right to challenge that.

Well he sure as poop wasn’t using a timeout anyway

that's right. time and again he was 2-3 feet outside the crease with literally nobody around him. clear sight lines, time to get set. 3 of the 5 posts were with some traffic and he didn't pick up the puck. laughton was in close and he was deep, and the last one from the point area was a clear shot and he got beat. he played well, no discredit to him. but he was damn lucky, too. flyers could/should have had 3-5 goals.

shame because they got a real nice game from elliott, too.

i feel badly for both guys. they're good goalies. can't stay healthy. i think it's beyond clear they are unreliable health-wise. neither will be a flyer next season. the question is now what?

i feel more comfortable with lyon than pickard.

You dont control luck. Look people hear have been female doging about how poorly the Flyers have played. They played good here tonight. One guy is crying for Hextall's head and for what? Firing Hextall, Hakstol or trading away players does not stop a team from getting a goal on a goalie that is down and injured, stop the ref from blowing a call on a good goal. Flyers could have easily had 6 goals tonight had the bounces gone their way. This is a loss that had nothing to do with the player. It was poor luck. These games happen. Lets put things into perspective a bit. Its only 2 games. Pens have lost 7 of their last 8 games. Thats a team thats supposed to be better than the Flyers

is it luck players like mcdavid crosby ovechkin stamkos have the ability to score a ton and or make stuff happen on the ice?

you're using the same excuse everyone uses for this team when they're not scoring

MAKE THEY'RE JUST NOT THAT GOOD

btw, merrick madsen is tearing it up so far in the AHL. remains to be seen what will become of him. i'll just say i was not happy when the flyers did not sign him.
