Who's carrying Weal? Simmonds? Weise? Seriously? That line has defied the odds and is playing well, against middling competition. Will it last? Who knows. JVR is back, so we'll see.

Filp's QOC TOI and CF are very similar to what Weal is seeing now, BTW. And Filp was just as 'perimeter' as Weal, and just as spotty defensively. It's weird that you're on Team Filp, but Weal revolts you.

The level of competition wasn't even close. Fillpula was better even when he was in sharp decline. It's not even close. Fillpula was solid defensively which is why he was relied on by the coaching staff. Finished the season at a -7.

Weal is being carried by his linemates. No doubt.

You said so yourself, #'s in context. Laughton's most common linemate has been: Jori Lehtera.

I agree he's got more to offer, and I wish they'd get him in the top-9, but there's no reason to bump Weal down to do that right now.

Honestly I haven't been watching Weal much on faceoffs. 60% is pretty damn good. Are they O or D faceoffs and are they clean wins or getting a lot of help from wingers? Just curious if you know.
