anything at this point would be great

what do you think return on Skjei would be?

- mrn22

I think the starting point would be a first. I would hope a good prospect too

I don't see the Rangers trading Skjei for a 1st and a prospect, they use him too much

Although I’m a Hugh Islander fan would like to chat hockey with you as in the end we are both hockey fans. Section 20 first row come and say hi if you get a chance. Hope to see a great game tonight !!

I'm intrigued to see who this Hugh Islander guy is!! Is he the new mascot? 'Cause if so, that is a WAY better name than Gritty!!

You wouldn't trade him for a 1st and lets say a d prospect that could project to be a #1 pairing?

I'm not saying we should trade Skjei, just discussing what we think he would bring back.

that I wouldn't do, no

I'd only trade Skeji for a young dynamic forward (like Nylander), I'm not interested in selling Skjei like he's some 28 year old pending UFA

I just think after his great rookie year he is trending down. Don't think teams would be willing to give a dynamic forward for him. Think you would have to sweeten the pot

I don't really think he's trending down

I think in his rookie year, McDonagh was the left side defenseman always on against the other team's top forwards

now it's Skjei, and he's going to continue to have good moments and bad moments

Come on mdw, how many players can score a goal like Moose did the other night?

He's pretty average this year. Would really like to see him involved more in the offense like his rookie year. Looks way better defensively this year than last though.

No silly the first one where we was failing down. Toronto owed us on the 2nd one taking JT from us.

We are talking about Skjei, not Clutterbuck & Ladd. Although I'm pretty sure I still wouldn't trade that beer for them.

Skeji looked best his rookie year. Has looked average since, but people are enamored with his skating. I think he should get better and will start making better decisions with and with out the puck. That being said, he is not worth his current contract.

Hopefully he does some point soon.

I like the kid. how old is he? You would think they keep him to grow together with some of the other youngsters for a nice core moving forward.

24 or 25 I believe. Oh he is most likely staying for a bit. Just discussing what we think he could bring back.
