I really hope Montour isn't the big return. Is it just me or do DMen in other city get very overrated compared to Toronto?

Here is the bottom line..

He isn't the on ice difference between a cup or not this year.
The return being talked about is not the difference between a cup or not this year.

So...let him sit until the right offer comes in or he signs at the right price.
He has zero leverage in this situation.

Their needs are not up front, they are on Defense.
Not one of the players being talked about is going to elevate them enough that they would improve significantly enough to warrant moving a talent like Nylander.

If a trade offer materializes for a top pairing D guy, than I could see a trade happening.

Montour would just be a start for Willy - Leafs need a decent backup and RM is more than that signed to a very friendly mil a yr, however I don't know is he has a no movement. So BM and RM and pick and prospect for Willy and a 3rd.

No I mean Nylander plus for a top 20 defenseman. They could add plus to Nylander but if a team doesn't want to trade their elite guys then they don't a strong offer doesn't necessarily change that.
