6 weeks for a thumb? Can't they tape it and add some extra padding inside the glove? Injuries are so crazy sometimes
- TPC

The pressure put on your thumb when you grip is more intense than other fingers. Probably (to my uneducated mind) accounts for the difference in the projected timeline.
Took me 3 months to get back to sparring after suffering a broken thumb, back in the day.

Looks like Spooner slots in for Buchnevich on the first line. 90-93-23. Second and third remain same ā€” 20-13-50, and 26-21-17, and fourth is 8-72-95. Seven D rotating in, so hard to tell if there are changes there. We talk to DQ after.

- jimbro83

Stephenson added this: "Zuccarello is out tonight. First line is not set simply because they're still thinking about how best to fill that Buchnevich spot. If they move someone up from another line, then that means changing multiple lines." I will refrain on going completely crazy until we see how this pans out.

Oh yeah, what a team. They've won 8 games and have only lost...9.

It kind of crazy how much of the league this describes give or take a game or so. Literally 3/4 of the league is like this. Parity.

They need to make wins worth 3 points or shootout losses worth nothing.

Here is an interesting tidbit to chew on this afternoon:

Erik Karlsson ---- the coveted defenseman that dominated headlines this past year prior to his trade to San Jose, well here are his stats:

18 games played zero goals seven assists minus ten ( surprising )

Lets compare to our own Kevin Shattenkirk:

16 games played one goal ( pp goal ) four assists plus/minus : EVEN ( shocking )

Many layers to this onion, but just found these stats to be curious....

McLeod should be done! He hardly brings what he's supposed to! Id rather see a line of Bleskey, Fogerty & Spooner. As for the rest, BTW Chytil deserves to play with some decent talent for a few games rather than McLeod and Letteri IMO.

Zib, Namestikov, Chytil
Hayes, Kreider, Zuc
Howden, Vesey, Fast
Andersen, Bleskey, Spooner.

Skjei, DeAngelo
Claeson, Pionk
Staal, Shatty unless we all talk a deep breathe and call up Lindgren or Hajek or both and sit the last two

I'd still take Shanny! He was light's out with that wrister over the glove. Every time!
