even if they really want to make the playoffs this year, it's the right choice.

Even though it annoys the fans who desperately want them to make them playoffs so they can finally get the last laugh after years of being mocked.

Not really. Every player in pro sport plays through an injury everyday.

True although groins rarely heal if still playing. It’s one injury no matter the severity it’s a hindering nagging type. Skating is very demanding on a groin.

Thomas Harley leads all OHL draft eligible defenseman in points with 16 (3G/16A) in 19GP this season

Jack Hughes recorded 6PTS (1G/5A) this morning in an 8-1 victory over Switzerland.
Hughes now has 15PTS (6G/9A) in 3GP at the #5NationsU18 tournament. Absurd numbers.

I think Zegras would be a really good not getting consolation prize if Van isn't drafting top 5.

Erik Gudbranson has the same amount of points as Erik Karlsson.

It’s a battle of elite RHD

Not even? Trading Edler and Sutter and getting first round picks. Those teams are missing the playoffs and then Van wins the draft Lotto not once but twice.

Both of those teams I think realize they suck and won't have a chance of making the playoffs.

I'm just a wealth of facts these days.

Alex Kerfoot drafted by the NJ Devils #150 signed as a free agent with Colorado

Will Butcher drafted by Col Avs #123 signed a free agent with New Jersey.

wtf

Watched Oulers-Av's game. Those Oilers look horrible, but not as bad as the announcing crew.
That is one team that needs a complete makeover, starting right at the top.

I must have missed that. I should spend more time on here.

Valimaki still wasn't worthy of a top 5 pick?

I don't recall anyone saying Valimaki was top 5 worthy, just me saying I believe he will turn out to be the best defenseman from his draft.

All this talk about Horvat being the next Kesler makes no sense to me. Horvat is showing a much better ability to generate and drive the offence. Kesler produced offense with the Sedins on the PP... and when he filled in for Danny on a line with Hank for a 3rd of a season.... but outside of that... he was limited and often the problem with 2nd line scoring.

On the other hand... Kesler was much tighter defensively and had an incredible ability to agitate.

I already sense Horvat will be a much better leader.

As Codes like to say,,, #narratives.

I do think they share some one similar quality, they don't rely on their wingers to score goals at 5v5. Bo will probably never be as good defensively, or as physical, or as annoying to play against. However, he does have better hands/puck-handling and is more dangerous off of the rush, while Kesler was better in the cycle and during sustained zone pressure.

You're flat out wrong in saying that Kesler was the problem with 2nd line scoring. He was elite at 5v5 scoring during his prime years (2008-2011)

Here's where he ranked in even strength scoring during those years:

2008/2009 = 70th in the NHL
2009/2010 = 30th in the NHL
2010/2011 = 66th in the NHL

Those are legit 1st line 5v5 numbers, and elite 2nd line numbers.
