Even if he was sent down this year and next if they don't plan on spending to, or near the cap ceiling it would be worth it. As many years as they can pay now to avoid the many years of the buy-out pay-down. Just look at Carey Price's nightmare if we were to buy him out.
Not ideal by any means, but MB has to learn from his mistakes and i don't think he'll forget this one any time soon. - Snots33_77
They'll need some cap space to bring in Panarin
And Price's deal is front loaded...wont cost much to buy him out in 3 more seasons after this one |

Can you imagine the amount of brown-nosing that went on when they nominated Bettman to the HHOF. |

For an uneducated, overrated bum who talks a lot without actually knowing anything at all... he also has the 4th highest point total in the league at the moment but I don't like him... I'll take Galchenyuk over Domi anyday, twice on Sundays! |

Max Domi is really lighting it up for the Canadiens, and good for him. He's got nine goals and 16 points in 15 games, and that's nice and all, but let's not get too excited.
He has a sky-high PDO and the pucks are just going in for him.
Galchenyuk has five points in six games and remains the superior player, so let's everyone relax.
I don't really like Domi. In my opinion, he embodies why people don't like athletes in the first place, and he makes lots of uneducated comments when he clearly has no idea what he's talking about. I was happy when they traded him and I'm still happy.
Galchenyuk all day every day and twice on Sundays.

Domi is red hot right now and playing above anyone would have believed he is capable - so I give him lots of credit for that.
Chucky is off to a pretty good start too, after coming back from his injury, so hopefully this works out well for him
I think this trade is working out better than both teams had hoped. |

I think Domi is more suited for the league the way it is now, he makes plays at top speed and he attacks the zone at that same gear... Galchenyuk likes to slow things down, still a pretty effective offensive player but Domi's speed, determination and 2 way play makes him the better player after a quarter of a season since the trade
