Why not have a little chip in each puck that records everything.. It could gauge how high the puck is off the ground if tipped, over the glass penalties wether it hit the glass or not, goals, offsides, etc... And how awesome would it be to be a fan in the crowd to be able to go home with an actual game puck. Each puck will have Qcode and you can see when it was used, who played, maybe even who touched it.. It would be revolutionary for the NHL.
