Jake Evans with 2 goals tonight, having a pretty good first season in the AHL so far.

He's a very interesting player indeed, he only put up 2 points in his first 8 games, seems like he settled in and figured things out and just broke out with 4 goals, 3 assists in the last 6!

They have a few prospects doing really well all over the place, its promising... finally

As much as I want them to win if I'm watching games, they really could use another top pick this year. I mean, who expect them to win the cup this season with that team?

I'd rather watch them lose, but play with a lot of effort, than win at any cost... because the more wins they get, the more likely MB gives up picks and prospects for a player that will not help us in a year or 2.... or worse, pick up a bad contract.

Habs need to be big time sellers this year.

They could use a pick for sure, it should be a D and the better ones in this draft are ranked in the teens, so they could make a bit of a run, establish a winning attitude and gain experience for the younger players and still draft what they need with a pick in the 13-20 spot

They really have nothing to sell though, the only rental they have is Benn, most of the deals that go down during the season are rentals... it would be nice to see them offload a couple contracts (Shaw and Alzner) but I don't see it happening, especially not for a useful return

Agree about having nothing to sell. They had Byron and went in another direction. I don't expect them to do much at the trade deadline. Not as sellers anyway.

I think if they drop right out of the running they'll entertain offers on Petry and Tatar but if they're anywhere near a spot they'll hold off, no rush on either... Scherback will most likely get moved at some point this season also

#Habs Julien says Schlemko will return to the lineup tonight, but whom he replaces won’t be determined until after pregame warmup. No other changes, aside from Niemi in nets, as announced yesterday.

Both pretty nice. Kid got hands. If there are some injuries we might see him with the Habs at some point later in the season.
