Hwks can send your choice of seabrook, rutta, or Gustafsson for a game worn Matthews jersey. If you want Duncan Keith it will cost you two jerseys |

The Canucks have been the worst statistical team in the NHL for the last 5 years. They have young pieces now as a result that are coming around and the Sedins are gone. Most teams when there good for a decade will bottom out for about 5 years. Did you think the futility would last forever? Hockey goes through cycles. Some organizations are mismanaged and may not figure it out for 10 to 15 years and will mismanagement assets, if your a fan of one of those teams I feel sorry for you and would understand your bitterness. Statistically the Canucks are one of the loosingest teams in NHL history, they share the rarified air of Buffalo and St Louis as team to have existed for 50 years to never have won a Stanley Cup. Canucks fans have never experienced ultimate glory only the bitterness of defeat even when they have had decent performing clubs. - morrison1980

This is typical Canucks. Just for some reason every 4 years or so they just become world beaters. But the rest of the time they stay at bottom of the division. Enjoy your time in the lime nucks fans. It won't last forever - Eman87654
lol wut
Outside of the 14/15 playoff season, there’s been nothing random about them over the last 10 years. They had a steady rise to become an elite team followed by a fairly rapid decline. |

Hastened by some bizarre personnel decisions. It still boggles the mind how having two legit #1 goalies at one time led to dumping both of them and having Markstrom to show for it. |

You know who would look nice in Vancouver...Voracek.
- Glak18
You know who would look great in return for him? Brock Boeser. Which is why it won't happen. If I'm the Canucks, I don't make that deal (i.e. Voracek and a pick for Boeser and a lesser pick). That kid is the real deal. |

Horvat is a pretty significant piece that you forgot to mention. |

We got Horvat for Schneider which was no small feat. Couldn't trade Lou's albatross contract at the time so they decided to stay with Lou and move Schneider...pretty basic. Gillis was hoping to squeeze a few extra years out of Lou but after the 2011 SCF Lou's brains were already in FLA...his body just needed to catch up with them.

Really? Is Tanev coveted by other/any teams. One of grandma’s antique plates has a better chance of blocking a shot and remaining intact. Okay...that’s my effort at funny. Thankfully I won’t be appearing anywhere all week |

Hey genius, they had prolonged success from the Naslund years until about 2015/16 with the Sedins. That's a decade. Your nonsense assessment holds no weight. Here's a hint, when attempting to troll, don't embarrass yourself with non facts, especially when they are so easy to overturn through, you know, any research whatsoever. Lol. Fail. Moron. |

Said goalies are now a 39 year old Luongo and a deteriorating Schneider who became Horvat. How would either goalie help at this point? Use your brain first, before you type something else stupid. |

Nucks will have to trade young players and prospects for veterans if they hope to go far.
Kings have several veteran defenseman they can unload for an unproven guy like Petersson. You will need depth and experience in the defensive position if you plan to win a series or two. |

Neither would help at this point, but either would have helped when their old contention window was still open.
Horvat has turned out well, but he was a pick at the time. Lu had a hard to move contract but it was a weird situation (I thought) for a team to move two legit goalies while they were still a team that could have arguably contended for a cup.
I'm not suggesting they would want either goalies in 2018. 4-5 years ago though, the old window was still open.
PS. I was acknowledging your team was still very good at the time they traded both these goalies. No need to be an bumhole. |

This is borderline the dumbest thing i've sen on this website... and I have seen some poop!
Were only just starting to climb out of a rebuild. We don't expect to win this year, this team trading prospects and kids makes about as much sense as signing Brian Elliott. |
