I kinda want ZAR with Sid...not Simon. Sid needs some grit on that line. I don't really like Simon...don't hate him(sheary)...but don't want him on our top line.

Something I want to watch...seems so far to me that desmith starting leads to a little more effort level from the whole team. I don't know if it's just circumstance or what. But the core of this team loved MAF. I'm sure most of them are not patient with MM playing like a sieve.

This core has shown it can and will play poorly to prove a point. we have seen a coach or two or three get run out of town by the core seemingly giving up.

Tons of teams do this for a short period of time when things are going badly. No I’m not meaning like the leafs (Babcock) did with Mathews but splitting up a PP for a short period happens. Doesn’t surprise me Wilson doesn’t know this. We’ve seen the caps do it, philly did it, Tampa has done it, the hawks have done it lots, the jets come to mind as well. It’s not Sullivan’s ground breaking idea, this has been done lots haha

I watched a video earlier today, looked like it was filmed in an Uber. Crosby was in the passenger seat, Malkin and Letang in the backseat. You can overhear Malkin say "Poon, did you hear Q got fired?". Shortly after Crosby says "We could use that coach...he could teach me how to grow a better mustache.". Then you just see Malkin and Letang having a tickle fight in the back.

They had a nice shift in the 1st. Wilson drew a penalty. ZAR had some nice PK time. Without checking the numbers, I don't think the 4th has played much.

Obviously Scotty Bowman is Scotty Bowman, but so much respect for Johnson. I remember him more from the US National Teams.

This team doesn't forget Wilson on zar...Wilson on dumo...Wilson on...fill in the blank. Nisk on sid...Orpik on maata....Steckel on sid...I mean it's pretty one sided on the issuing of concussions.
