Lmao you don’t know the difference between HDCF% and HDSH%

Try & stay on topic Steamer. If you can. Is what I wrote earlier about the conversion % wrong or right? I don't care about you trying to bring in shooting % it's not the topic. But hey, it happens I suppose.

Are you trying to bring in Corsi?

Edit: It all evens out eventually......

Are conversion rate and shooting percentage 2 different things?

Is anyone talking about corsi?

Each shot attempt (Corsi) taken in the offensive zone is assigned a value based on the area of the zone in which it was recorded. Attempts made from the attacking team's neutral or defensive zones are excluded.

You didn't know that? I'm shocked & stunned Steamer.

Still, are you saying my point about the conversion rate justified with the link is wrong? Yes or no?

Cool. EF% to da moon. QoP is still poop. Nothing changes.

EDIT: If your posts have more than 4 words in them, I don’t read them.
They’re pointless.

You fool!

Someone give him his dummy quick. Just to pacify you, I'll link the conversion rate later tonite when I'm relaxing (I linked it earlier, but just like that you've forgotten it). You can then call the analytics website wrong - because we all know Steamer knows more than everybody.

Did you read my comment? Or are you just commenting for the sake of it because I mean how would you know what the subject is if you don't?

That's funny, says it's an analytics site. I don't think you know what you're talking about again. Tough day today. Are you sure you don't want to answer yes or no about the conversion rate of the Pens for HDSC?

Deflect again though. Fool.

This coming from someone who interprets hockey by reading a box score. You can't even grasp the idea that not all shots or scoring chances are equal. You simply don't understand hockey.

Good move by the Hawks to get Collitan in & running the show. They needed to reset & having a young coach might do wonders for the experienced guys in the team.

Where does Q land now??? Can imagine there's few coaches having sleepless nights now! Does anyone's think je could go to the Blues with the history between them & the Hawks?

Bold prediction: Tampa!

Wow, I mean (frank)ing WOW!

What is it with you wienerheads? Make up poop when you realise you just suck at commenting? Unless you guys (HDSC are your cherry), are quoting some type of analytical statistic you just can't communicate normally!

I report posts, I dont understand the difference how scoring chances & shots differentiate, don't read the comment if there's more than 4 words - that was priceless. You blokes are on fire.

You are the dope that couldn't understand the difference in speed & location!

Wow!

I'd much rather get the opinion of a pro than you wienerheads - what was it the other day? "This game Is going to get out of hand (the Pens hands), shortly" - Pens went to 3-0 right after that! Must be your low hockey iq dikosaur.

But don't stop, I love a little banter to fill In time in a day if I'm not busy or over lunch.

Are you ok with the amount of times the Pens score on a HDSC? Don't get confused now.

I think i may have to put Klingberg in the press box after this week unless he can open up a lot more. Just ahead at the moment but plenty of low scores on my roster so far Klinger being 1 (any Hogans Heroes fans here?).

Carlson is the man to watch at the moment. Hopefully JJ can handle him tomorrow!

Nice article on the Pens website about the current performances.

"Sullivan: "For me, when you go through these ups and downs in the schedule - and right now it's a struggle for us - we have to make sure that we don't feel sorry for ourselves. The solutions to our challenge are right inside the dressing room. We believe in this group. We believe we have what it takes to be a very good team in the league. They've shown an ability to do it. A week ago we were feeling good about ourselves winning four in a row on the western Canada trip. We know we have what it takes within the room to become a better team. We just have to work together."

I think they do know they have the team that can give it a big shake.

Breaking news: pens are still the 9th best team in converting 5v5 high danger scoring chances and Aussie is still retarded. More to come.

Whole thread has become a middle school lunchroom of name calling.

Wilson is one of the best writers out there and deserves better.

FWIW, I don't believe there is much of difference between stats and analytics.

A statistic is a singular piece of raw data (i.e. a shot, a goal, etc.) in a given data set. Statistics is a branch of mathematics that deals with analyzing data sets to infer proportional relations from a sample (i.e. lottery odds). "Analytics" is either computation of those data sets (i.e. goals/60), or the information gained from analyzing those computations (i.e. how effective a team is at something, "exciting" vs. "boring"). The only difference that I see between the two is that "analytics" takes the extra step to make a conclusion while statistics stops at the numerical end.

That said, while I think that analytics are not the be-all/end-all some people preach them to be, I do agree with you in general in this thread, that they are useful tools to have.
