Is it? Who doesn't complain about work? The disrespect of "not paying attention" for 3 weeks, maybe... but the boys joking about how they can't stand anyone up at the line or that their PK sucks. I don't think its a big deal, i don't know a single person on the planet that hasn't complained about a job/boss/school etc. Maybe that's just me
- CoHo_to_B-Lo

Especially when you're with co-workers outside of work. It's pretty much mandatory to female dog about work.

In '05-'06, Pominville got called up to the sabres after getting 26p in 19gp

Right now Olofsson is at 16p in 12

Is there a magic number that gets him on this team, or is it injuries only? Seems like a natural time to swap Tage for Victor

You want him in the press box?

Sports and regular jobs are never comparable.
- ImThatGuy

In general, absolutely, but it is still a job, and all the bullpoop that comes with it. Otherwise "work ethic" wouldn't be a thing.

I just don't understand why they wont try it for 2-3 games. They could have had him up here for practice today, and worked him in slowly for Thursday, and there aren't any negative ramifications to going back to Thompson if it doesn't work. Even if Olofsson failed spectacularly, you can't tell me that getting sent back to the AHL is going to destroy a 23 year-old man. He'll be back. Either it works, or it doesn't, but having Thompson in the press box isn't working either

I'd like him playing in Thompson's original spot. If the Larsson line is untouchable (not even gonna go there), then scratch Sobotka who has not been fairing well at center recently. Put Erod in that spot. Hell, I'd even accept an Erod benching even though I think it's the wrong move

Magic # is 20 games.

Sabres break season into 10 game increments
6-4 1st segment- no need for change.

Aside from injury concerns
1-2-2 2nd segment

with the amerks on a roll, i'm pretty sure they don't want to mess with it unless they absolutely must

Ryan Reeves 4 goals 2.77 million
- Boss34

If you're going to call someone out for grammar you should probably spell check.

Also, Reaves career high is 7 goals in 8 prior seasons, pretty sure the 4 in 14 is the anomaly.

I think you're right that their line of thinking is probably exactly that - and with the Sabres somewhat treading water - nothing drastic has to be done, but the minor league affiliate is at the service of the big club, not the other way around.

3 cups, 1 losing season in over 10 years = fired.
- CoHo_to_B-Lo

Trotz basically got fired(Caps refused to pay him) after winning the Cup last year.

How dumb do the Kings feel, should have waited a couple days.

I think its the moves Bowman made rather than cap hell for paying good players. Panarin, Hjalmerson, Saad etc. etc.
- CoHo_to_B-Lo

Actually I think getting rid of Panarin was a pretty shrewd move, he's going to command an insane salary next year. I don't think anyone saw Saad crashing and burning, but he's having a bit of a bounce-back year.

Yet. But they are on a 1-2-2 slide

I also think you could argue Olofsson for Thompson would be a somewhat lateral transaction for Rochester. And it could give Thompson a lil kick in the butt

OMG, thank you, thank you. I stated the point of this article to a tee in my post a couple days ago after one of Pachla’s articles. RISTO less time!!!
- PS600REVX

The sick part is he can play 4 minutes less a night and still be at first pairing ice-time. That's how ridiculously overused he is.

don't get me wrong, I think Thompson should sent down, but don't think they're ready to do that...thought I heard Housley say something about trying to get him in a couple of games ago

Seems like there's a double standard when it comes to "development."
And of course, not complaining, I'd like to see us score 9 goals more often, but im enjoying this team much more than last years.

why?

put him on the second or third line he does not produce

at some point reward either nylander or olofsson for playing well

same goes for D, put scandella in the presser for 3 or 4 games and give pilut a shot
