add bogo to tuesday

2 for tuesday

- homiedclown

pretty sure we could do a different player for every day of the month... but some keep bringing up the same guys all the time so it would screw up the schedule anyway...

This board is still searching for a replacement for the ROR flame wars.

The Reinhart, Risto and Larsson discussions are missing that je ne sais quois

Devil's advocate: Who is ready to play top pairing minutes on this team?

Dahlin and Nada

Right?

- RhinoFan

It doesn't have to be as simple as a single player taking those minute. His TOI is down this year. Dahlin has taken some PP1 time, some others have taken key defensive minutes. If anyone from Rochester steps up in the second half, suddenly it's not so unthinkable to lose him.

Botterill knew to cash in on O’Reilly before it was too late. I trust he will do the same with others

Risto will always be tradeable. Right-handed PP specialists don't go out of style. Add in a mean streak, and there will always be suitors, regardless of the salary - which isn't bad imo. I'm good with/without a trade for the record. But I want a fast winger if they pull the trigger

Dahlin is not ready now either... kid needs at least another year before you throw that at him... he need to get stronger, he need to grow up....he's just a kid. rushing him into #1 role is not the answer.

I have defended risto- I love his chippy play and mean streak. He makes it hard on other teams physically.

Problem is - he is a -11
No excuses. Tough or not..

Still like him, just didnt want to wait until next Monday to talk about risto again. The new schedule is gonna be tough.

Could we do:
Saturday sam
Sunday sam?

If he's not able to form a top pair with Dahlin, then I'm fine if they deal him. I still think he's a pretty good player, but we need him to be a cornerstone at his salary. I see Borgen and Pilut coming, and potentially 11m in savings with Bogo and Risto.

God, I just want some more scoring

I really like risto: but

At some point , when you change out all the Losers from purposely tanking for the past few years on and off. A couple guys maybe also are at fault.

Risto - he has been here for all the losing- pre mceichel
Sam - most of the losing
Larrson- all of the losing
Mccabe- all of the losing
Girgs- not at fault - but lots of losing
Bogo- plenty of losing
Erod - a little losing.
Eichel-lots of losing

I'm keeping - girgs and eichel and really evaluating the other guys.

Jbotts changed in 9 guys last year, I could see 6-8 more this year.

*okposo - also lots of losing

I personally don't subscribe to that idea of players being accustomed to losing - I think Chiarelli did that to a certain extent when he traded Hall and Eberle, and signed a "winner" in Lucic. Botts should keep guys who fit his vision. I think Risto could stick around or not, but Okposo and Reinhart don't seem to find his vision of fast wingers. I'm not gonna touch the discussion of 22 and 28. My thoughts are well known
