Also mind boggling that over that span, no one in management thought to get a better/capable goalie to push them over the top. Some of those teams were beasts, should have done a lot more in the playoffs.

that goal by Lidstrom was horrible but I thought Cloutier was the first Canuck goalie to have three 30+ win seasons in a row. Injuries were certainly an issue too.

don't mean to be a big defender of Cloutier, but I didn't think he was that bad.

Nice morning hate.

Seems he could teach you to do more then talk...

Gaunce comes in and has a great game, this should be good for the haters
- neem55

there is about half a dozen posters in here, who WOULDN'T have scored that goal from that Toews give-a-way, the rest I have full confidence would have. lol, but lets all forget that Gaunce isn't an NHL regular because he scored a goal on a horrible turnover

that shooting percentage is completely sustainable

I am happy for Gaunce though. Anytime you get the call, and can contribute with a goal, it must be a good feeling.

He wasn't that bad and had good moments...just couldn't make the big save at the right time much like Loowingoo.

in and out of the lineup for 3 straight years on a terrible canucks team.
Comes back for 1 game, scores a goal where toews deserves a primary assist, and we suddenly have a rejuvenated Gaunce who is on pace for 2pts a game lol

Why isnā€™t anyone talking about Goldobin Codes? Why the (frank) does Pettersson have this useless anchor on his line? Kid needs to sit!

You can pretend it all comes down to the goal, but he looked good all game and is looking like a bottom6 guy for many years to come.

PS- he looked better than every one of Gaudette's games this season combined

If he legit keeps it up...why not send down gaudette whoā€™s waiver exempt when enough guys come back. Gaudette isnā€™t ready IMO.

I'm actually of the opposite mindset. Despite him not scoring goals, I think he is the best play maker and passer on the team, beside Pettersson of course.

Heā€™s never been ā€œin and outā€ of the lineup. The only games heā€™s missed was because of injury. If Boeser has scored that goal all you gum cuzzlers wouldnā€™t be able to shut up about what a wicked release it was (double entendre intended). Give the kid a little credit when itā€™s due. I will do the same if Sutter/Beagle/Gudbranson ever do...

Gaudette needs seasoning, I agree.
