Wow, Pens D played well. Maatta skating in circles, Ruhwedel can't stop a puck sliding, Kessel Leaves his man who ends up scoring as he skates by slowly to the side! Can't clear the puck, can't mark up around the net let alone clear the net unlike the Isles players when Horny was whacking all those HDSc with a stick in his face & a player on his back.

But i guess the Islanders were just lucky!

I'm no interference guru but wasn't there interference or 2 on 1 islanders goal?

Islanders did get a bit lucky last night. Did you watch the game? If it wasnt for the handful of odd man rushes against I'd say it was the Pens best effort and game this season, despite the score. They battled hard man. For me, loses are easier to digest when the effort and battle level is there.

I missed the game. Looked at all the stats and the Pens seem to dominate this game. Was it goaltending? Making a few too many untimely mistakes?

Who cares about goals, the real winner is whichever team had more shot attempts.

They gave too many odd man rushes and the big saves weren't there. Other than that I really liked their game.

Kuhnhakl scored. From the goal line. Off a foot. Top corner.

That pretty much sums up the game.

Pens played well but it wasn’t meant to be.

I stopped selecting players from the Lightning, but sure, now they decide to show up.

I have Letang in my lineup, so not having him hurt me a bit. I'm only down like 16 points, so he probably would have had closed that gap a little.

Hahaha I picked Point and Kuch this week. Point is a stud.

I really don’t know what happened but the pens d was like invisible last night. When the pens tied I really thought we get killed but lehner made some key saves. Also the isles took advantage of all the pens mistake. Thursday game should be fun but if greiss is in net should be an easy win for you guys

They just took advantage of the pens mistake. They were lucky that there were so many

JJ starting to take a commanding lead in the 5v5 GA department. Who would have ever imagined that?

Don’t you dare tell these guys luck exists in hockey. You’ll get crucified. Or wait. It’s only lucky when the teams beat the pens. The pens never get lucky themselves.

The Pens D is bad. That’s really all there is to it. Aside from Letang/Dumo, they don’t really have a competent pair with Schultz hurt now. And without Letang... it’s just vomit on ice.

If letang played you guys would have won. Him and Crosby are islanders killers. That was the difference

Just one stupid (frank)ing mistake leads to a goal regardless of how well you play the whole game. The bit I watched we were outplaying the Islanders comfortably but then would puke all over ourselves on one shift and let up a goal. We gave up two goals to bad changes, for crying out loud! That’s the kind of stuff that just grinds my gears as sloppy hockey. One thing is puck luck, another is actively shooting yourself in the foot and putting the other team in a great spot to score.

Fortunately I turned off the game after the Eberle goal so I didn’t have to deal with the Kuhnhackl goal.

I even have Gourde, Oleksiak, and... yes, Mr. -5.5 Matt Murray. I just hope he gets another start this week, else i will be doomed despite a lot real good(-starting) picks.
