From being at the game, the Eichel line was the only one generating consistent pressure. Also, I have not back-read, but the refs were brutal.

Sabres needed Erods speed, and another finisher. Waive Larsson - he's useless as shown by the goal allowed when he's supposedly at his best. Doesn't score, can't lock it down.

Dahlin's passing is terrific.

Actually thought Reinhart showed a couple of bursts- although he didn't show much hustle to beat out an icing in the 3rd

Fair points

I still expect to see a lot of ups & downs from this team
We’ve gotta be one of the youngest teams in the league still
At least almost all of our key guys are

And the Vets we have are mostly just average players
Skinner might be the only exception there

You mean the double deflection goal that went off neither?
- sbroads24

28 couldn't clear a puck along the wall earlier in the shift. They're just washed up never-weres. Time to move on. Bring up some kids who can score instead. They don't score and don't close out games - what are they really doing here? Berglund, Sobotka and Eichel can play at the end of the game.

In all seriousness, didn't you think 22 and 28 played good short handed?

I also kinda thought 23 didnt hustle on the ot goal.

Bogo made some bad hockey decisions too. He charged dube from behind our net.

But who's the one who had an easy zone exit with 60 secs left and turned it over, leading directly to the goal.

Btw, risto has the hockey iq of my dog. looks like Tarzan, thinks like fido

Nah, a 7 goal pace sucks balls. But hey, I’m sure once he’s moved back with Eichel he will get some easy ones and all will be well.

You seriously don’t think is absolutely non-existent offense has been a problem?

or consistent

would you have jack in the top 10 for centers right now serious question

top 5?

- homiedclown

He’s probably around 10th,
give or take a couple spots

We need him to be better
But i suppose we could say that about everyone else as well

I wouldn’t have Matthews there either though. They both hover around a PPG. Matthews had a hot start and fizzled and now is unfortunately gonna miss time with the injury. I think Matthews and Eichel are in the same tier. They are not in the same tier as McDavid or Crosby. Matthews is the better player but he’s also in a much better position to succeed then the one Eichel is in.

Only 1 line is even threatening to score most of the time. Although on the Mitts penalty, he actually should have drawn 2 penalties. He fought through the holding of the stick and then should have also drawn a trip. That was one of many garbage calls.

Fun, tense game. They almost closed it out. They still need a bit more depth scoring. Blaming Eichel seems.... Absurd. That line was driving the Sabres all night

Cuz berglund and sobotka are scoring a lot? I think they have one goal between them (maybe 2) and it was an empty netter.

So far
I think we all thought the secondary scoring would be better though
I at least thought we’d have 2 lines that could score
But it’s pretty much just been Jack’s line

Got some very winnable games coming up

I’m pretty happy with the start overall
I think most of us are

Not to wade in too far, but Sam only had 5 points with Eichel 5v5 last year and 1 was maybe an EN with 4 other forwards and 19 otherwise.

Well we both know he’s gonna score more than 7 goals this year
At the end of the day,
He’ll get 20 goals & 50 points
And that doesn’t “suck”

But yes,
he is struggling to score goals right now
Everyone who isn’t playing on Jack’s line is
That’s an issue we need to fix if we are gonna make the playoffs

What we need more than anything is for Mitts and Dahlin to be 3 years older. Unfortunately we can't make that happen, but we get to watch it happen

Tbd i guess

Sam isn’t the only one struggling to score right now

That’s pretty much all the forwards when they aren’t playing with Jack

Would be nice to see the StL boys start to provide some depth scoring
