You would hope there is a plan in place... but it is the Browns... so who knows?

Remember there was a rumor way back when that the OC at Oklahoma who Baker loved could be the guy.

They’re 2-5-1,
and were predicted to win around 7 or 8 games this year

Their DC should be fired too

Cleveland has been drafting A LOT of talent the past few years
They should be better

- jdfitz77

Their DC is Greg Williams

Their DC is not why they are losing games though

Pretty sure he is about to become Interim Head Coach

You would think they would just wait to clean house in the offseason but like you said, it's the browns
- Stripes77

What’s to gain by waiting?

Hugh Jackson’s firing was overdue as it is

No issue with Hue Jackson getting fired

But usually teams keep the OC and DC until the offseason

Their defense is giving up over 26pts/game
That’s among the league’s worst
Too much talent to be performing that poorly

I'm not saying your overall evaluation is way off, but I think your evaluations of all players tend to overvalue physical toughness and fights. That part of the game has a role, but it isn't as big as it once was, and there are many teams that find success without that aspect of the game.

Here's my proof - name one "enforcer" who plays in the league any more.

- Der Kaiser

This board's favorite, Tom Wilson.
Plays on the top line' and had significant impact for Stanley Cup Champion.

He takes it way too far and now has a rather large target on his back.

But not many want to screw with him.

This is why hard knocks should be the entire season like the Amazon show

This would be must-watch television

They have 2 wins... have also been to OT 4 times. I know that isn't much, but for a team that had 1 win over the last two seasons they have shown vast improvement.

Gives them a jump on other teams who wait till after the season

Keeping Jackson around to continue sucking doesn’t accomplish anything

It sure would be, but obviously couldn't be released till after the season.

Firing the HC isn't that big of a deal.... firing your HC and OC on the same day at the mid season point... they just better have a plan.

Josh Rosen is awful. So is Mayfield since his first game.
- sbroads24

Did u watch the end of the ARZ game?

Rookie Josh Rosen came into the huddle to start Arizona's final drive with a few choice words.
"We're going to win this (expletive) game," he said.
And the Cardinals did just that
.

If Josh Allen led TWO drives (that ended with TD passes) in the 4th Quarter to win the game,
Ppl on here would be going bonkers

Just sayin.....

I’m sure they have someone who can take over calling plays on offense

Do you really think that there arent hand shake agreements before bowl season is over etc.?
IMO it just shows that management has given up on them this season.

No I turned it off when it was 5-3 in the 3rd quarter.

I wanted Rosen, but two TD drives don’t take away how bad he’s been so far.

Also, Mayfield has looked awful, and is part of the reason they fired Hue/Haley

One could argue that their poor coaching has been holding them back

The results just aren’t there,
even though the talent is

They lead the league in turnovers but they're on the field the second most in the league

They have the most INT's, the most fumbles recovered, they're middle of the pack in sacks, but they are on the field all the time, of course they are going to get scored on a lot

Rookie QBs struggle
Idk what you’re expecting?

This idea that guys “either have it or they don’t” is dumb
Players get better with experience as they learn more
And the team they have around them (and coaching too) plays a big role,
especially in early years

It’s not like these rookie QBs are stepping into teams like Wentz had in Philly, or Wilson had in Seattle, or Ben had in Pitt

Holy Crap

Not to bum everyone out...
but go look at the total “points for” among teams throughout the league

Then look at the Bills
