Berglund starting to play well is going to be huge.

From Joe Yerdon’s article

“The Sabres erased three deficits during their win over Montreal, and they controlled large segments of the game. They outshot the Canadiens 42-22, and Berglund had his best night yet. He took five shots after totaling just six in his opening eight games. He posted a Corsi of 15 to 5 with help from linemates Johan Larsson and Zemgus Girgensons, a night that got Berglund back to 50 percent Corsi for the season. Coach Phil Housley put the line on the ice in the final minute to close out the one-goal game.

That’s a big step for Berglund after Housley didn’t even dress him a week earlier in San Jose.”

I don't know where Nylander is with his contract with the Sabres but the team should really consider him as future trade bait. The Sabres will just end up like Toronto where his brother is over pricing himself. The family has a history with contract problems that the Sabres don't want to have going forward

He has to achieve what his brother has achieved before he can even start going down the same path. I say we deal with that problem when it happens rather than trade him because we think it might happen.

Edit: He's an RFA at the end of the 20-21 season.

skunk is a frustrating to watch...you see his skills, but there seems to be a nonchalance about him that really irritates me, especially after the "LaCore" years...

that said, for as much as I like Simmonds, him and a rhd isn't enough for me right now

Put the feelers out to Stone's agent. If he's willing to extend, Reinhart for Stone straight up. I don't believe Ottawa could find a better deal.

I’d have Rob Blake on speed dial if Botts hasn’t already. I would deal all 3 first rounders and Nylander for Doughty yesterday.

What the (frank) did you just (frank)ing say about me, you little female dog? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I'm the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the (frank) out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my (frank)ing words. You think you can get away with saying that poop to me over the Internet? Think again, (frank)er. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're (frank)ing dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little poop. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your (frank)ing tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will poop fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're (frank)ing dead, kiddo.

I'm sure there are plenty of teams ready to offer a treasure trove of assets for Samson.

He was the 2nd overall pick in 2014. What's not to love about the guy.

Maybe a team will trade for him half way through the season?
Most likely he will be 12th in the nhl in scoring the last 35 games of the season

Triggered.

He's been ok. I still maintain he was a disaster on the PK in the first last game. at some point he needs to put the puck in the net to be useful. 0 g in 10 games. 4th straight 7 goal season incoming

To reach that production, he will need a Samson-esque finish to the season.

Since he is on his 50 point pace if he ends up scoring like he did the last 40 games of the season he will finish at:

63 points

I would gladly take that season from him

Nylander is the the fourth highest scorer on the Amerks, with a very healthy 1.0 PPG pace of 4-5-9 and +6...4 of those Apples being of the Primary variety!

Looks like he is trying to lose the Bustlander tag.
Good on him, Sabres need for him to hit.
Keep him down on the farm and hungry

I said it when ROR was traded

Berglund was going to play the defensive role of ROR nicely

Having 2 roster players for him playing well, not to mention Thompson who is still very much a prospect and a 1st, I still really like that deal.

Thompson could use sometime in Rochester.

Maybe call up Nylander or Asplund (if they're going to play them properly)
