I do think its possible we see Hextall trade Jake before we see any coaching change.

He seems to be sticking to his staff.

- flyer_nutter

I know it's not popular but I really could see Hextall trading him and wouldn't be shocked if it happens.

He looks like Weise from the last couple seasons.

I know that 3C spot is a hole, but Simmonds could really help that line if he did something other than glare at players, or be the 3rd man in.

- flyer_nutter

A little disappointed in Simmonds today. He’s been invisible....

Wow, MJL. I didn’t think you would be getting close to looking for a coaching change. You know things are getting desperate when MJL starts issuing timelines.

I was going to post so something similar.

I know Simmonds has the goals, but Lehtera has outplayed him by a mile to start the year.
- flyer_nutter

Lehtera is still slow which exposes him on a slow line, but he isn't a black hole this year. Weise is. That's why the combo is bad. I'm ok with Lehtera in a vacuum, but surrounding him with Weise and someone like Knight is asking for it. Put him on a line with some speed a dash of skill (two of Linblom, Misha, or NAK?) and you have yourself what I think would be a pretty effective 4th line.

Really glad they decided to sack up, can you imagine if they hadn’t?

There's the answer. Lehtera to 1c and on 1 pp. haha.

Seriously though, he looks like he quit.

- hereticpride

For someone claiming he’s almost 100% healthy I expect more. Plus he’s in a contract year. All these intangibles fans whine about as a reason to resign him have been nowhere to be found this season. Ya most the team is playing like dirt but this “typical flyer” can be traded.

Boner! I suggested splitting G and Coots, which the two of which have played apart of whole cereers up until last season. You scoffed at the idea and suggested Lehtera should be number one center. So yes, you’re a dumb person.

Its the move I make if I am Hextall.

Simmonds out, and goodbye coaching staff. Call up Myers. A man can dream.

Loved what he used to bring but he isn't bringing it now. I have no interest in signing the current player he's playing like.

Honestly I'm not even expecting a great return in a trade at this point with the way he looks.

That's twice now where Simmonds just coasted down the right wing, with the puck carrier on the left and a center going hard to the net, making a straight line of 3 guys. Make it a triangle, Wayne. You're out of the play. Move your (frank)ing feet and find some open space in the middle of the ice and spread the D out a little. (frank)s sake. Look like you want to score.

I would have moved him over the summer honestly. But it was tough with him coming off injury I suppose. I wish Myers would be called up; you know he’d play hard to stay up.

I feel bad that Corban Knight is hurt, I really do.

But the dude is always hurt. Maybe professional ice hockey isn't for you, Corban.

Can the Flyers stop trying to make him a thing?

I that you had to earn that number on this team.

But but but....if you move 1 underperforming player to another position and another underperforming player to another line they magically play different. Geez it really is that simple.

Did you know that if you fed everyone in the world, there would be no more hunger. That simple. Geeez

Mike Keenan would bench half of this roster. He might kill the 7 or 8 guys he would play, but none of the slackers or (frank)ups would be getting any ice time at all.
