Opinions about ror vary widely on this board, but the circumstantial evidence is starting to build up

The Blues first rounder, although top 10 protected, could be the best piece in that entire ROR deal. If we pick twice in the top 15 this year and can hit on those picks we can be deadly in a few years. Up to the amatuer staff to get it right however but identifying Mitts at 8 last year is a good start.

where are all the pominville haters? I never liked him as captain complacency, but he's always been an iron-man and consistent. If we get 40 points out of him this season, which is basically what he put up last year, then you absolutely resign him if he wants to, he will take 2-3 million per at most IMO and for 30-40 points? That's literally the production you want from a 3rd line winger who plays on the 2nd PP unit.

Was Jack as invisible as the scoresheet suggests?

Skinner

They have got to stop playing like chumps in front of Hutton, he has played way better than his stats show. I think it's time to start Ullmark every 3rd or 4th game until he flounders or until Hutton finds his groove.

If Price was playing, we lose this game.

When one is insulted with racist frog legs comments, poutine etc ... one responds in kind ...

PS: We also have some very juicy words for you losers also, but I wouldn't dare repeat them here. However, I'm confident most of you don't have the brain cells to understand two languages.

I kind of feel bad for ROR. The Blues are downtrending for a few years now, their goaltending has been god-awful, and their coach seems clueless.

Fire the coach, trade for a goalie, wake the team up.

A young team that doesn’t know how inexperienced they are, with a little bit of luck and a fair amount of confidence, can be a very dangerous thing.

Now will you believe?

(Yeah I went there.)

Sounds like Colorado last year.

I think we're going to be good

Hey guys, remember when half of us wanted to fire Housley? Good times.

Edit: Myself not included, this season anyway.

- Wetbandit1

I think it was more "he's in over his head and needs to figure it out fast" than "FIRE HOMESLY!!!"

Jack was strong tonight. He was on the ice for 3 of the goals, just didn't pick up any points. Very noticeable winning puck battles.

Hutton didn't play particularly well. Niemi outplayed him.

That's what I want to see from him. He doesn't have to get 90 points every season but hoovering around a .ppg and creating goals without padding his stat sheet. Sometimes the best assist is when a player doesn't even touch the puck...

He has been shaky.

And no Jack wasn't really invisible.

Pominville does this, he can't keep it up.

skinner now has 10 points in 10 games and is one of the biggest reasons we turned this around the last 3 games

Right, Jack being on the ice opens up space for everyone. He's a different player with Skinner on the ice. Nothing against Sam, Kane, or the host of other linemates that he's had, but he's a dynamics threat who also backs defenders off. Pommer is benefiting greatly just by going to the net. As long as they keep creating chances, I don't care who gets the points.

That line has produced 8 goals in 3 games. 1 was empty net padding, but still impressive.

How high would you go on Skinner?

I was thinking 7 per but with the way he is playing, you are probably closer to the mark at 7.5 per. Who would you rather have at 7 per - Kane or Skinner? I would take Skinner everyday of the week - and I like Kane.

They can't give the 8th year until after the trade deadline, which is awkward for us.

7.5 per is an easy yes from me, which means I'd uncomfortably go to 8. Hope JB can work some magic here.

I heard Botts on the pregame say they haven’t had any negotiations at all yet

Didn’t sound like they were gonna be talking any time soon
