Admittedly, I feel asleep on the couch in the 2nd intermission and woke with 5 mins left in the 3rd and watched until the beauty Crosby goal. I didnt like much of any I saw. I dont think the Pens were the better team in any aspect except the final score, from what I saw anyway.

They weren’t. Took some bad penalties. Got shafted on the Hags faceoff violation though. That was some horse poop. Edmonton looked far more dangerous for a majority of the night. 4th line converted in a few goals which was nice considering they spent most of the game pinned in their own zone and trying to dump and chase only to give the puck back to the Oilers more often than not. McDavid is scary every (frank)ing time the dude has the puck. It doesn’t make sense how fast he is hahaha

My Lions just upgraded their biggest weakness for a 5th

I think after last night I’m all in on the trade Sprong camp. He’s not playing well and will continue to not play well and tank his value. There’s really only two things to do here. Take a leap and put him in the top 9 to see if he plays better with better teammates or trade him before he complete tanks his value. If Sully is so convinced that he he’s just a bad player, then he needs to be traded yesterday while other teams may still be somewhat interested.

I casually root for the Lions. My fiancée is a Michigander and a Lions fan, and I love Fatty Matty and Golden Tate. They’ve honestly been much more of a pleasure to watch than the Steelers this season.

Also all my college friends are obnoxious Bears fans so it’s fun rooting for that devision’s version of the Browns.

The Lions own the Bears right now. Lions have won 9 of the last 10 meetings.

The O-Line is legit and now they have an actual number 1 RB it is more tolerable to watch them.

I mean that’s what I wanted the lines to be during preseason. But unfortunately Sprong is playing poorly on the fourth line and Sullivan is resistant to placing him in the top 9 until he starts lighting the world of fire with Cullen.

I’m not arguing that Sprong will definitely be good if given the chance. The kid could just straight up suck. But he also might just need better teammates to succeed. The Pens are making the playoffs regardless. I don’t see a ton of harm in giving him a five game look with Brassard to see if there’s something there before giving up on him. And if he still sucks like DP did, then I wouldn’t blame anyone for giving up or not giving him a chance.
