Of the 7 games so far I think only vs the Leafs did the Pens win the majority of the 50/50 battles. Its a pure effort thing.

Is there a resource for seeing each teams performance by period for the whole season? There must be. I just want to see how the Pens 2nd periods stack up against the rest of the league.

I kinda mean board play in general. The wingers aren't getting many pucks of the wall besides dumping it out. I agree the effort isn't really there night to night.

You can filter by strength (all situations, 5v5, even, 5v4, etc.)

You can also check out a players line mates to see their production with certain players. Check their toi, etc.

It’s also the website I use for the heat maps after games too. It’s probably my favorite stats website.

High danger was 1 and 1 for each team last night in OT.

Filters default to 5v5 because the most useful data is in that situation.

Just gotta double check the filters.

Well I think it scored a 2 for location which would be considered a scoring chance but dropped to a 1 since it was blocked. So not even a scoring chance on that one if I was looking at the event map correctly.
