Agreed, but I would move one of the picks to land an above average defensively RHD.

He's also not above average defensively. He's having a good start this year, but he's also been getting his zone starts from 50-50 to 58-42 O-Zone, and he's been an even player relative to his teammates his entire career.

depends. evaluating defensive prowess is still pretty split in the hockey world. There are those who still think blocking shots and hits are everything. It ever so subtly overlooks the fact that those who typically lead said categories almost rarely have the puck and this game is all about puck possession now.

This sort of thinking can and should be exploited

That's a given, obviously. But how much on that Trouba extension?

And talking about defensemen, they're utterly and completely using Risto wrong, again. Last year when he did well relative to his team he was getting 53-47 O-Zone, this year he's back to 43-57. He's an offensive defenseman, just because he's big and likes to hit guys does not mean he's super awesome at defense. It's the same thing with Bogo, I don't understand why they try and pigeonhole guys into spots that hurt themselves and the team. Give him 55% O-Zone and and he'll be a better player, or get him someone who's actually good on defense if you're going to give him that many D-Zone starts. It's hard when your partner, Josh Gorges is jerking off in the corner and you're all alone our front and get torched.

I don’t know if I want trouba in the first place. He wouldn’t be cheap, enough. I don’t want to Murray this thing again by pigeonholing the salary cap.

How would you fix this? Dahlin and Nelson are the only 2 over 50% ozone. Dahlin and Risto can't play 45 minutes a night combined and both get favorable starts. If you want Bogo at 55% as well, the numbers just don't work out.

Update.

I am $6 less richer than I was at this time yesterday.

My investment did not pay off.

There will be no "escorts" or blow today.

not wining last night really put a damper on all of my plans.

Had to tell my boss I un-quit
Had to revoke my offer on a multi million dollar house.
Have to hide from my dealer now because I cant pay him.
Had to cancel my retirement party.

Assuming the Sabres are in the hunt around the TDL (insert Bills joke here), would anyone have interest in Vanek? He has a NTC, but I'm pretty sure he'd waive to come here. I can't imagine it would be more than a 3rd or 4th round pick. Maybe less
