Yup I know that. But if he doesent fit team mold which I dont think he does for Botts then look to make your team better.

I really hope we make the playoffs this year and then we get to see what Sam really is. Hope Im wrong. But iv seen 4 years of someone that I see disappearing in tough games or the playoffs.

Didn't stop the sabres from trading Kane who was the exact opposite...

Can you really say that about a guy who has only been to the playoffs once?

I am in the "keep Sam" club. He reminds me of the Sedin twins - he slides under the radar and doesn't wow you but before you know it, they end up with 1,000 NHL points.

He'll get 55 points this year.

Well he was very good in the playoff's and last I checked hockey is a team game, this is not meant to be directed at you, but I hate that argument... Kane has been on poop teams until he got traded last year, how exactly is that his fault.
Guess Jack sucks because he not been to the playoffs. and McDavid because he has only been once.

St Louis chokes and looses in OT. ROR with 3 points, maybe he needs to be better..

The Sedin twins could dominate games.

We’d be a playoff team with O’Reilly & Kane,
no doubt imo

And to those all worried about what the Cap would look like...
take a look at what our lineup could look like next year

Ullmark is arb eligible, if he's even average, he's going to get at least $3M.

Dahlin, Mittelstadt, and Reinhart all need deals in the short term as well. No way could the Sabres do that.

I hate songs that, for the first 20 seconds, only use the left or right speaker. Makes me think my headphones are broken until I remember it's a stupid song.

Exactly... you're playing deep in the playoffs with that lineup. probably won't see that kind of lineup here in years if ever.
Lets trade player X...you don't get better by letting good players leave, something the Bills and the sabres haven't figured out in way too many years. And I love the group of people that say well he didn't help us win, yeah no kidding when we can't field a real NHL roster... McDavid and Crosby would not have the sabres in the playoffs the last 4 years either.

1) idk about that?
1 “average” year in net = at least 3m?
Doubt it

2) compliance buyout Okposo(6m), Bogo & Scandella gone (9m+)...
that’s 15m in room, plus 2 more Cap increases which I’d guess around 5m-ish

3) maybe Sam is traded & not in need of a big raise

Tough decisions would have to be made
But it’s generally do-able

EDIT
*that was also without a Stone added,
which we wouldn’t HAVE to do
I just really like him as a player & was being selfish

I’ve been finding common ground with ppl who usually trash what i say
Feels weird
Hahaha

But in all seriousness...
O’Reilly & Kane would’ve made us better than Sobatka & Berglund & Thompson
That’s not even debatable

nobody can argue that... well they can but they would be wrong.

pretty much we all know that we didn't get the best player in either of this trades... the ROR trade I think was just to get us some depth NHL guys.

I just broke down how we’d be able to find approximately 20m in Cap room

Even more if Stone wasn’t signed at 7.5m per

It’s not all that complicated

Bottom line...
We could fit ROR & Kane
And we would be a better team

I don’t know man. I’d be super pumped about Dahlin holding out like Nylander and the Sabres having to make tough decisions

Pretty easy schedule in the next 8 games

CGY & CBJ are the toughest
But also have OTT & MTL twice each
Plus NYR & VAN

We could get around 10pts if we play well

Congratulations, you barely squeezed it in next year. It doesn't fit this year and it's poorly planned two+ years out. I think you know this and you're trolling.
