Fredrik Claesson to miss 2-3 weeks with an upper body injury. So much for it not being serious.

I even have my reservations about re-signing Lee. I think, given the fact that they named him captain pretty quickly, that they're planning on doing it...but so far (too small of sample size to say anything definitive yet) he's on pace for 23 goals which is an obviously-massive drop in goal scoring production from the last two years where he had Tavares. Not to mention that he's already going to be 29 when his next deal starts.

He's a fantastic person and a great teammate, but if they pay him long-term based on those two seasons he played with Tavares then I think it's going to end up as a massive overpay/mistake.

Haven't really caught many of the games this year, but even without JT, it seems like most of his goals were hard work and fighting for position infront of the crease. Lot of greasy goals. I wouldn't think his point totals would be affected that much .

Maybe not, but I think a lot of those opportunities came from pajama boy driving possession even if he didn't get a point on the play. Now Nelson is just dragging and it's not going to help him. Time will tell and I think they'll ultimately sign him, but I have concerns about money and term, that's all. 4 years @ $6M AAV would be fine. But if they give him 8x8 or something like that...that's a problem, unless he's producing like he did last year.

Not to mention trading him to a contender would probably yield a massive return, in terms of picks/prospects.

True, but who do you have to replace his play. Seems like most of the prospects are skilled players not really any gritty types with skill. I just think he brings something to the team you don't really have. I mean yeah, you have Czikas, Clutterbuck, but I would put Lee's skill level way above theirs.

May not be able to replace his size and net-front presence, but Bellows and Wahlstrom are both expected to primarily be goal-scorers. Plus Bellows plays a really physical game, he just isn't 6'4".

It's not that I'm advocating dumping him, I'm just concerned that they're going to pay for 2016-17 & 2017-18 Anders Lee, not 2018-19 and forward.

Yeah, I get the concern of a contract. Don't want it to turn into another Ladd contract. Sorry couldn't help myself.

Think its for the best. He is getting good minutes. No need to demote him. Let him play against the better players and figure it out.

Nah, we really aren't into heavy equipment. I won't judge someone else's turnons though. To each their own.

Might be Jimbo's Porn Night.

That looks almost like our final surviving outdoor cat, but our cover of the Kama Sutra is different, so I know it's not him.
