If he was a regular on the crack PK unit maybe that would have helped keep him in the lineup.
- Feanor

I doubt it, our PK has been atrocious regardless of who's in.

It was a joke about Jori playing every game.

Bob, Boosh, Razor and even Leighton in the 09-11 years all played better than Elliott or Pickard are playing now. So far this season, the Flyers are doing a much better job of pressuring the pp before they set up and, for the most part, they are defending better in the D zone. Sure, there have been some breakdowns but the goaltending is killing them.

He got 6 games before being scratched. Hopefully, Hak will get him back in the lineup soon.
- VladDrag

He didn't even look bad, just predictably wasn't scoring as much as he was in the preseason. A couple uneven games and suddenly isn't NHL ready anymore lol. Why can't everyone just come up and be as good as Ghost?!?!

Why should a bad penalty killer who contributes nothing at ES play every game on this team?

Laughton-Vorobyev-Raffl would be a better 4th line when JVR returns.

Vorobyev is NHL ready. Just not quite ready for 3C

Haha I didn't catch it, clearly. Would love to see Patrick get going here, really put his mark on the team, not just a backseat guy to Claude and Jake. Maybe become Jake's Couturier.

Situational and defensive role. I disagree that he contributes nothing at ES play.

Funny stat of the day. In the time with Dave Hakstol as head coach, Calvin Pickard is 3rd in the NHL in short handed save percentage

Lehtera 8 ESP in 70 games

Weise 10 ESP in 51 games

Clearly, Weise should play every game, too. No room on this team for guys like Vorobyev and NAK.

Lehtera has been ok for the most part, but with Patrick back, I’d rather see Vorobyev centering the 4th line.

Get back to me when the sample size is more than 2 games and change.

As self proclaimed new head coach of the Flyers, here is my game plan:

WIN!

As I've said previously numerous times, Lehtera needs to do a better job chipping in some points. A coach needs to have options available to him for situational play. Vorobyev is not ready for that role. Swapping those two will lead over use of Couturier and Giroux in defensive situations and have a negative effect overall. Not to mention that Patrick is back and Weal is playing well.

Um ok, not sure what he did before here has any bearing. All I know is in the short sample I’ve seen him play for the Flyers, he’s looked like a career minor league goalie.

Nope, and didn't even come close to saying that. But I think defensively (team and dmen alike) they have pretty much sucked.

Point being that it is a bit of a chicken or the egg scenario...Pickard was a bit more of a rising prospect at the time, but Colorado was hot garbage and they they still managed to have one of the league's top PK's. Were they a great PK in front of Pickard or did he make them a great PK? How does a team that is bad and a goalie that is bad play so well a man down? Throws a bit of a wrench into the personnel excuse the Flyers like to use.
