I wouldn't be shopping Hagg right now until one of Morin or Myers gets here... and stays here.

Simmonds, I'd start taking calls if he continues to largely be a non factor outside the PP. I just can't justify signing him long term when he's looking extremely average.

I hope Hagg is taken in the expansion draft. But it might be Morin

The Avs look to moving at a whole different speed than the Flyers. FFS, guys like Frost and Farabee can’t get here fast enough.

This team is a dumpster fire defensively, and I have no idea on how it can get any better. It is basically the same as last year swapping Manning for Folin. We have nobody exciting to bring up when injuries or a struggling player needs to sit. I thought we had all this exciting depth and what do we have? Lehtera/Weise/Folin and Knight as our depth. horrible.

I was thinking the exact same thing 10 minutes into the game.

If I'm the coach I'm all over Simmonds to actually finish a check. He's stick-checking and doing fly-byes.

Something is wrong with Provorov. Maybe it is his shoulder, or something else. But he is definitely not himself.

Maybe he got ruined like Konecny?

Some do yes, many do not. They are by far not a quick team overall and that is clear to see imho.
- Buzzo

The Flyers when they're skating and moving their feet are plenty quick enough as a team.

Yeah....if he keeps on this path I don’t care if he scores another 30 it’s goodbye. We’ll be no worse for wear minus all that leadership

I think it's more than just individual skating speed. It's team pace/speed. Their breakouts and support through the neutral zone in concert with their gap control has allowed them to control the pace of the game. When the Flyers start to figure it out and disrupt them they've been effective in switching it up. One of the big issues with the Flyers coming out of their zone is they get overloaded along the boards – teams have been doing this to the Flyers for a while.

Same players....same coaching...same GM. I guess we can hope JVR will make a difference.

He’s depressed over having to play for this mediocre team

Would not surprise me if he's trying to play through something like Simmonds did last year and Ghost and G did the year before.

Not to suck his d but Sanheim showed why I think he can be a better pp qb than Provy
- VladDrag

I agree which is why I didn't see the reason for why Vorobyev was n the point over Sanheim.

Provy just looks really indecisive this year....I think he just needs a big game to get it turned around.

Simmonds has been one of their better forwards this season and he's leading the team in goals.

I would have liked to see him in the NHL for 20 or so games before making that call. His potential is pretty good. Big strong damn who can skate and make a decent first pass out of the zone.

Not sure if he can do it in the NHL, tho.

Really? You actually can say this with a straight face? The Flyers are slow. Period, end of story.

You can use smart play and puck movement to overcome this to some degree, but please, stop kidding yourself. This team is loaded with average and below average skaters and that badly needs to change.

They'll bounce back. I don't think it's like a hidden injury or an off-and-on pulled groin. They're both battling through it. I think Konecny needs to get out there and just play a more simple brand of hockey. Get in on the forecheck and make some nice body checks. Provorov just needs to clean his game up.
