If the flyers have any chance at beating these teams they need to revert back to their 1-2-2 neutral zone clogger. The aggressive forecheck and pinching is too risky and their too often a step behind getting to the spots and the Avs have clean breaks with numbers.

Flyers just aren’t skilled or fast enough for a team like the Avs. Getting boat raced again and this time getting great goaltending to keep them in it which no one will talk about when they lose 4-1

I thought this team was getting faster the past few years with the drafting. But geez they look anything but a fast team. They look lathargic outside of TK and a few others.

I don't disagree with that being a potential tactic to change it up. The Flyers before the NJ game had a practice involving fundamental play and battle drills. They played a strong structured game against a good NJ club and won 5-2. Now here they are again flat footed, loosing puck battles, and bleeding quality chances. Again, let's blame the coach.

There were times last year when it was decent....and a couple times this year it’s been ok...but the #s don’t lie....it’s under 70%...that’s pathetic. Unless they get this fixed, they will not be a playoff team, which is a shame with the amount of skill the team has.

They don’t have the quickness to win the footraces to the loose pucks for clears consistently. The problem with the flyers over the past few years being slow and small is magnified watching them pk

I disagree, they have the quickness.

Thought the flyers played a poor period. These guys just never learn.

Laughton came to play -- the rest of the team not so much

I am not either dude. Seriously not. I am not arguing who is better Sanheim or Hagg.

My main point during that was that Sanheim made a decent play in the offensive zone. He was able to get a shot from the middle of the ice with a body in the way and traffic in front of the goalie. Kimmo was a king at that. You saying there was no screen is kinda dishonest about that play, and seemed like you were specifically calling out what I’ve said about Hagg.

Sanheim and Laughton have been most impressive to start out. Laughton quite frankly has blown me away. Hopefully it keeps up

Some do yes, many do not. They are by far not a quick team overall and that is clear to see imho.

Never thought I'd say this but Weal needs to stay out of the box!

Elliott needs to control more rebounds. On pk he slid out to make save. Once puck was loose no way he gets back in position.

Too much of the same bs.

Ghost blindly lays pass to no one in our zone. Can't happen.

Coots with chances to clear and can't do it.

Usual teams have young fast guys on the fourth line. Flyers have the opposite.

Agreed. Not burying all chances, but the fact he is creating more chances is great to see.

I dunno what’s changed with him be he’s being more assertive on the ice

Confidence. He is trying moves he never has at this level. He’s also playing wing, less thinking imo

I was going to post the same thing. Unless he's digging for a puck around the crease he is pretty much not noticable.
