Fair enough, I have enjoyed the faster pace of play and I like that Green is emphasizing a strong forecheck.


I used to argue Tanev > Edler, but I agree that Edler would be way more difficult to replace. If he plays 75-82 games then that's big for this team.

I still think they finish bottom 5, they are an injury to their top two d away from dropping back down. And the last few years when teams have started to dial it in the Canucks have gone in the other direction.

That said, they are playing a more entertaining game and definitely playing tougher, which I can fully admit despite my moaning when Pettersson went down. The really positive sign is that aside from Sutter, who is playing awesome, it’s the young guys that are getting it done.

True, in a sense.
My optimism is what's ahead a few more years down the road (2 or 3 years) when I think we will start seeing an exciting team start showing it's dominance. I would really like 1 more top 5 draft pick. I'm also very pleased to see young players pushing aside garbage like Del Zotto & Gagner. This season still has plenty of potential for the annual post Christmas dumpster fire and that also excites me.

Benning's only suckage really comes from the CHL.

They cannot draft in that league.

Its a damn shame that Byram is a LHD. Would be great to see someone rise up the ranks a bit who is a righty and then add him to the system but this draft, at least as of now, looks like a forward heavy draft. No goalies expected to go high and like 5D in the top30 as of the rankings that were out at the start of the month.

And a few games later Bo broke his foot. Then the team went on a losing streak and Sedins went from from 7 min a night to 14
