After the Jeffery pass interference call, didn't Smallwood get a nice chunk on the ensuing play? No reason to go right back to him instead of forcing the ball to Jeffery into double coverage, which should have been picked off.

All in all if they would have mixed it up, like they did on the Goddert TD drive, there just isn't time for Carolina to do anything.

Wentz missed the RB on a check down for a 7+ yd gain on 3rd and 2. He instead elected to throw into double coverage. Really his only mistake all game. Shame.

I didn't say it was on Wentz even once. Look at my other posts. D blew this game, end of story.

I think it’s part of the maturation process of a young player, but to me it’s obvious the organization wanted him to become a defensive minded forward when they sent him down after a full season in the AHL. He got no pp time while down there and played on lines with no skill despite the fact that he was outscoring the majority of the remaining roster.

I actually think Laughton could/can be more than he’s used. I don't think he was given a real shot at 3C, last year or in preseason. It’s almost as if they forced a player into a box without looking at what he might else he might be able to offer.

Lehtera isn't a 13th-14th forward. He's been in the lineup every game. That is what role players are for.

The Flyers won the game and the coach did a good job he should feel good about putting two points in the win column.

To be fair, the team had had a fair amount of brain drain on the offensive side of the ball. The QB coach and OC are both gone on to new teams.

The defense, however, cannot be giving up 21 points in the 4th quarter at home. Jim Schwartz, for whatever reason, can't dial up a decent 4th down defensive stand in this game and it's the 2nd time this season the defense has allowed a team to get a 4th down game saving play.

Was there for that. I can't do justice to the beating that Montana received in the 1st half of that game. I think it was brave of him to come out for the 2nd half of that game, much less carve up the Eagles like he did that 2nd half.

While Pederson has made some calls I disagree with, I think age, injuries and a lack of depth at some positions has hurt more.

At least we can still laugh at the Cowboys.
