Good win, but the PK has got to get better. How? I have no idea when your using basically the same personel and system with Lappy. It was stated in offseason as a priority yet all Hextall did was nothing to help.

PK has been much, much better at up-ice pressure and pressuring entries in their zone. There have been some breakdowns once other teams are set up. Really, though, apart from the San Jose and Ottawa games, the PK has been OK in the other games. They gave up two yesterday, which isn't good, but there was nothing structurally wrong with the second goal (the borderline goalie interference one where Boyle scored). The first one wasn't too good -- pass gets through the box, Folin used as a screen on a shot through his legs.

Phantoms lost 5-4 at home. I didn't see the game but from Bill's writeup there were a couple goals that Carter could have stopped albeit very good saves. I know Hart got shelled in one of the early games.
I don't know how the team played in front of Hart so just hoping for a better outcome team wise.

Patrick just got back after missing three games and hadn't done much before he got hurt so I'm not concerned at all about that. Plenty to critique regarding Hakstol but I'm not so sure that's one of them.

A cheap shot is what instigated the fight. Boivin is lucky Brown was willing to bail his dumb ass out for a dangerous play. Boivin is much larger than Domi and could have just pinned him and worked for the puck, but instead pushed him down knowing he would slam into the boards.

Boivin should have obliged Domi. Brown should have let Boivin get beat, Boivin earned it on that play.
