They had to move them to fit ROR's salary. We're also not taking into consideration where Botts comes from. Pittsburg incubated their young players in the A for quite a long time (many have said this is Botts philosophy). So while our young guys are currently killing it in the A, you need players to play in the show. Maybe that's why they were brought back, to keep the kids down. Now with how both are playing it'll be interesting to see what Botts does.

Erod should get locked up with term. I wonder what the # could have been before this year? 5 years 7.5m? Maybe less? If he stays healthy that’s the kind of player/contract that can really go a long way to having great depth.

Sure, after this year 5yrs 15m wouldn’t be that bad at all. I was thinking about it the other day, I don’t think it would have taken that much before this year. Maybe 10m, would’ve been a really team friendly deal for years to come.
