Not true at all
If it is...
why didn’t the Rams & Chiefs start the guys they drafted to be their “Franchise QBs” right away?
Sure, Alex Smith is a decent QB
But they traded up for Mahomes bc they wanted to upgrade
If it’s as simple as, “u can play or u can’t”
Then why didn’t Reid put Mahomes in right away?
Obviously he didn’t think Smith was good enough, or they wouldn’t have drafted Mahomes
Same with Goff - jdfitz77
Are Goff and Mahomes any worse off this year if they started a bunch of games their rookie years? No, they're not. Why? Because they are good quarterbacks, plain and simple. If you're good enough, you'll eventually figure it out, whether it takes you one year or three years. |

I think we are pretty solid there now... next is just getting some of these kids ready to play in the NHL. Hopefully JB can move a couple contracts out this year. - gordong
So solid....great backstop.... kids need a better coach |

Dahlin is looking great though. Unreal reads. He should teach Josh Allen how to read defensive secondary's. |

I wouldn't cave either, the NHL would have to offer something substantial. The players already caved and paid for managements mistakes once before ( see new 8 year term limit). - Sabresfan-365
Exactly, unless they offer more HRR or less escrow or something I don't see them caving on that, there's no reason to. |

And a solid vet is almost always going to be better than a rookie. Since the NFL is a "what have you done for me lately" league the coach is always going to play the better player right now. Because, outside of the state of Ohio, if a coach doesn't win he gets fired, regardless of who the new wunderkind QB is. That's why Fisher got poop-canned, because he couldn't win. |

Hoping that repetition will get it to sink in,
instead of someone trying to change the direction of the convo bc they can’t refute the points behind my argument
I can leave it at that...
or i can respond to the points you made before that?
Up to you - jdfitz77
Respond / or don’t, like just about everyone else you have some valid points and some that aren’t, you dont always have to be right or wrong. Either way I could care less. I’m sure not going to debate it, when I really dont give a (frank) about the sorry ass bills and there (frank)ed up front office.

“ I think it’s going to take a bit more time. That’s not to say he can’t be a No. 2 or start, but if we were starting right now, I’d probably have Sean [Mannion] as the No. 2. Because it’s all about being patient with [Goff].”
-Jeff Fisher on why Goff wasn’t even active for Game1 of his rookie year
That sure sounds to me like Fisher was saying Goff wasn’t ready...
but what do i know?

Am I the only one who doesn't want to call up the only guys in Rochester that are doing anything? Let that team start winning so they come up with a winning mentality. |

Nathan Peterman wasn't the other QB. If the Bills had a semi-competent QB Allen wouldn't have been starting games, full stop. |

If allen is remarkably better after sitting 3-4 weeks with this injury:
You will have the answer.

I reat myself bc its frustrating when you are debating something and ppl just ignore your points bc they don’t have a counter to them
Message boards are literally here for us to debate about the stuff we disagree on
Be pretty boring if we all agreed
Let me attempt to change the subject,
that Bandit- NOT ME, brought up...
If we can come back & win this,
I think it would be really huge for the Sabres |

According to your logic that QBs can either play or they can’t...
no guy like Mahomes or Goff should sit when they’ve been drafted to replace guys who weren’t good enough |

The thing is we'll never know. Will it be natural progression, he didn't play, so maybe he would've slowly gotten there in those 3 or 4 games, does the OC become more in tune with his strengths and weaknesses? Does the OC become better himself in playcalling? Do the WRs try harder to get open? Do they drop less balls?
Ideally I'd like Allen to be sitting right next to Dabol in the box throughout his injury to see how he calls the game, so he sees defenses from a better angle. |
