They should call up Gaunce

- VANTEL

I'm forced to agree with you, as long as it's an emergency call up so we don't have to expose him again.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if they look at Beagle's injury and go "we need another guy who can't do anything but defend and win a faceoff on occasion"

Basically. Canucks skating like they were in mud but the Jets didn't have the same issue.

Passes, off target. Second efforts, not really. Gudbranson, is Gudbranson. Mistakes, compounding. Etc.

- Lindenis#1

So they played to expectations....they are what they are. Hopefully Petey is back soon!

Do you think the relationship between Canucks and Gagner is so fractured that they won’t call him up no matter what? Just thinking if you are going to play Gaudette 5 min per night what’s the point...
- 1970vintage

It seems his relationship with all teams he's been on is fractured to the point they don't want him back. He has a bad rep for being a goof

Notice the team has been night and day since he was ejected

another thing noticeable is that they didnt want him on the farm either.

But the team with like the best AHL team 4 years running wanted him.

I think people are overreacting to his demotion being "clearly attitude based" and not like just not being good enough with the way green wants to run an old school top 6 bottom 6.

You know...I don't care that the Leafs lost, but none of them scored FFS

Yeah, there is no way Gagne would forecheck the way these guys have been the last few games.

I think your characterization of the situation is way off base.

Remember when people were pencilling Granlund in as a top6 winger who would score 20+ and also give just sub-selke level defence? How amazing it was that the Canucks got all that in a trade for a useless prospect?

Turns out the player one team considered useless trash turned out to be useless trash.

No... but we will remember you making that up.

7:35am....just getting to the office, looks like Nilsson played well but Winnipeg was just too good for the Canucks?

Yes, I made that up after people were going nuts when Granlund had his 18 goals or whatever and "saved the Twins defensive game"

Both times the Jets pulled ahead, Edler was in the box.

The Tank brothers, Hutton and Guddy were terribad.

At least, unlike shrink, granlund is an nhl player, barely, but that's better then what we traded for him.

I’m just saying, as slow as he is, Gagner is still a proven NHL player, can play C, and give you a bit of PP2 time. That they chose to call up Gaudette instead makes me think that relationship is beyond repair.
- 1970vintage

As bad a camp as Gagner had he should have been given a chance in the first 5-6 games much in the way Schaller was when scratched for the first few. Leipzig should still be up here as well. Now that Marky will start the next game and reality will set in a bit Benning will realize some of the in-decisions.

Leipsic fell off a cliff. He looked like an All Star against the Flames C squad but against actual NHLers he's just a dude. Who would have guessed? Dude's got the rest of the year to show he's a player but if he doesn't grab the wheel at some point he's gonna find himself playing in Switzerland before 2020.

Leipsic did sputter but do we need to watch Granlund do his thing all year or utilize Leipsic's speed somehow? Eriksson looks slower as well. Speed dude. We need it.
I'm not saying Leipsic is an all star but he does create open space for line mates with speed. LE and Granlund seem to be going through the motions.

That's good...f**uck the Leafs.

Maybe we'll get a two day break from the Tavares Sports Network on how brilliant Matthews is...
