Nilly plays well but looses. Marky has been working with Clarky. Who starts next game?

I mean do you think they would recall him, or call up anyone else from Utica

Erickson is useless. Granlund not far behind.
- Fisticus

Remember when people were pencilling Granlund in as a top6 winger who would score 20+ and also give just sub-selke level defence? How amazing it was that the Canucks got all that in a trade for a useless prospect?

Turns out the player one team considered useless trash turned out to be useless trash.

Its been 3 years and 2 coaches. Why can't they realize that Hutton-Gudbranson isn't a thing? Stop trying to make it happen. It fails every time.

Hey it's a long road trip he probably had to hit the Sally Anne when he got into Winnipeg.

I do! Guy looks weak, slow and disinterested. No battle level at all. Kinda like the guy that he was traded for.... hmmmmmmm......

I’m just saying, as slow as he is, Gagner is still a proven NHL player, can play C, and give you a bit of PP2 time. That they chose to call up Gaudette instead makes me think that relationship is beyond repair.
- 1970vintage

Gagner's been scratched before, I'm sure he's sour but he's been in the league long enough to know that it happens. Van might very well decide they want to give their young prospects the development time over him, which is hard to complain about IMO.

The trade is still a "win" but Granlund is just a dude. He's not unlike a lot of the other capital M Maybe Players on the roster. This year was going to be make or break for like 6 dudes. Looks like he's giving out the answer on him early.

At least, unlike shrink, granlund is an nhl player, barely, but that's better then what we traded for him.

I think the only way they call him up is if its a long term thing. I don't think they'll shuttle him up and down like they would to get a variety of kids a few tastes of the league here and there.

The issue was always potential of prospect vs likely tweener. Much like the Guddy trade.

Just because the prospect doesn't work out, doesn't make the trade a success for a rebuilding team.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if they look at Beagle's injury and go "we need another guy who can't do anything but defend and win a faceoff on occasion"

They couldn't even get it out of the zone to ice it today, funny when they were kicked out near the end of the game that Garrett commented that we were down two defensemen .

Everyone looked tired in the third but those two should not play together unless you're competing in synchronized sprawling.

Gudbranson looked... like his existence was okay when he was with Pouliot. And Hutton had been playing real strong games until tonight. But those two together just can't (frank)ing play.

Remember when the Canucks could sleepwalk through most of a game and then turn it on in the third to win? That's basically what happened.

A lot of players not able to do the stuff.

Basically. Canucks skating like they were in mud but the Jets didn't have the same issue.

Passes, off target. Second efforts, not really. Gudbranson, is Gudbranson. Mistakes, compounding. Etc.
