Could be Leivo

I could get on board with that, although that would seem like an odd need for the Rangers to address at this point in time

Hey Dum Dum......you want some Gum Gum!?

Shut up w/ your tired ranting about signing FAs this past offseason. No one wants to hear it.

Panarin, and many others over the next couple of years will be available, and NYR will have a much more established lineup to make use of the high end talent...not to mention...NYR will have 1st round picks (hopefully lottery) over the next few years to find some high-end talent on their own. If they traded for EK we would be w/out those 1st rounders for at least two years! Great strategy to rebuild.

What a JACKASS you are

Dundee, let the tank play.

How did Sens get Karlsson, they drafted him. So deal with it. Tanking it for the longhaul.

Accelerate the rebuild and sign a lot of UFA's. Infallible strategy.

it's all because of Howden, nobody expected he'd be this good this quickly and it might make sense to just run with him right now along with Hayes and Zib

if Chytil goes to Hartford, I am sure it will be to play center

As Brooks said, Schieffle spent two years getting sent down to AHL...so did ALOT of players for developmental and ELC reasons. Its really better if he spends season in Hartford if you ask me. Shuffle him and Andersson up and down hear and there. As long as they are getting minutes.

You mistake others silence on your arguments as agreement.

Rebuild kinds of means selling off vets and accumulating picks, prospects and keeping your young/youngish players to build around. NO successful team has gotten high end FA at a beginning of rebuild while selling back their acquisitions. FAs will be had, and for you to think that EK will transform this team into a winner is dum dum. By seasons end, Shatty and EK will be w/in 10 points of eachother

You just seem to want to skip rebuild and get a team that might/maybe make some noise and then fall short.....yet agian.

I and most want to BUILD a perrenial championship team

If your really wondering about my "demographic"...well.......Im a short, fat, Jewsih conservative black women from East Hampton w/ a bad case of herpes and a wicked pain in my ass from hemroids.

Please rewrite this post in a fashion Dundee will understand. Put on mittens, blindfold yourself, and do your best Beethoven impression on your keyboard.

Had a hell day at work and popped in to see what the chatter is. I was hoping for a Dundee rant and boy did he deliver.

Amazing that the Rangers never thought about trying to sign Tavares or trade for Karlsson. Why don't we just sign all of the top talent when they become free agents? It would guarantee a river of Cups right?

Let's see, the Wild are doing great with that 7 years remaining on Parise's deal and Suter certainly won't at all be washed up by then. Lucic's deal looks like a gem for Edmonton. Remember that time when Carolina signed Jordan Staal for 10 years? How about the time when the Devils backed a cash truck up to Kovalchuk's lawn?...that worked out pretty well. The Blackhawks did win some cups with extremely high priced talent (that they drafted by the way) but it's not like they haven't had to sell off talent like Panarin and Byfuglien as a result.

But hey nobody ever really wins through drafting and developing talent. I mean, Pittsburgh never won by drafting Crosby, Malkin, and Fleury. Tampa looks dreadful with guys like Stamkos, Kucherov, Hedman, Johnson, Gourde, Killorn, Point, and Vasilevskiy...all of which they drafted or signed as undrafted players.

But hey I'm not being fair. Dundee wants was talking about teams with top A level talent like the defending champion Washington Capitals led by Ovechkin, Backstrom, Carlson, Holtby, and Kuznetsov...who were all drafted by the Capitals.

This is the salary cap era. You cannot afford enough mercenaries to win a Cup anymore. No one has managed it since the lockout.

San Jose has mortgaged a lot of their future too

you need a degree from Harvard to figure out their draft pick situation the next few years
