Coconut: the dessert ruiner

Example: German chocolate cake

I can't stand coconut, both the texture and flavor are just gross.

The MacDonald injury situation was handled terribly by the coach and the GM. He should have been given the full six weeks to recover and the Flyers should have begun the season with Friedman or Myers on the roster. There's no harm in giving one of those kids a couple of games to see how they do.

Some players can come back early from injuries and still be effective, and some players are so important to the team that you would want them to do that providing playing wouldn't make the injury worse. Players like Giroux, for example. MacDonald is nowhere near that level of player, and rushing him back into the regular season starting lineup only to shut him down in mid October is farcical. At the very least they should have recognized that his awful preseason performances meant that he was not ready to play when the games mattered.

I put the blame on MacDonald if there is any blame to be put.
If he reported that he was fine and xrays\MRI's showed the same then im not sure what you expect the team to do.
They are sitting him now so they did notice he wasn't right.

I'm gonna say either Lindblom or Vorobyov. Can't be someone with a full year or more of NHL experience.

Unless someone got hurt in the morning skate or tripped in the locker room, it will be Vorobyev.

If it is Vorobyev, I just hope this isn't a long term thing.

So now that the Mac injury has come to light, I would like to know how healthy Couturier is. Some nights he looks just alright, others below average.

The Flyers aren’t producing down the middle at all. I would bring up the idea of putting Giroux back at center but I know I’m gonna get bashed or it’s going to be repeated that it’s early. I agree with all of this, so I won’t rule out a Couturier injury.

The centers have to get going and Giroux is far removed from his hip injury.

Don't worry, Hak has shown that he won't sit healthy young players in the press box for more than a month straight.

I like coconut.

I do not like Knight in for Voroboyev, who I'm sure is going to be the scratch. God forbid Weise or Lehtera.

I would not be opposed to moving Giroux to center IF coots is actually still hurt and could use a few games off but I just feel like Giroux has been a completely different player since the move to the wing. I mean that could be because of the injury he had before but even then it looks like he is showing more offensively now on the wing than he did at center but that could just be me.

Imho it's a three-way street: medical staff, player, coach. All share equal responsibility.
- Scoob

I'll never blame a player unless they are actively hiding symptoms from the medical staff.

I’m not gonna bash you at all. I think most folks thought that if Coots or Patrick went down for any length of time, that Giroux would be moved back to center. That they didn’t, tells me that Patrick is likely close to returning.

Also when looking at Couturier’s production so far this season, keep in mind how often his shifts start in the D zone. It’s a ridiculously high percentage. Same goes for Provorov too.
