It’s kind of meh. I’m sure Knight will play well, he’s a guy that going to bring energy and probably a good defensive presence.

It’s just the principle of choosing a low talent try hard, instead of a kid who (gasp) might make a mistake or two. If the Flyers were so concerned about winning every possible game - you’d think they would have addressed their goaltending a bit more.

From an entertainment standpoint, I’d rather watch the kids make mistakes and learn. If they want to give Knight a shot that’s fine. Sit Weise.

Really don’t believe that the 2 roster decisions are related. Just happen on the same day, number-wise. Here is what I posted earlier:

To me, Vorobyev is a 3rd line NHL center. He is a rookie, needs experience to grow, and definitely needs to improve in the faceoff dot. Although, I think it is a little soon to scratch him. It won’t hurt him to spend a few games at most gaining that invaluable view from above.

As for Knight, I think this is a separate decision having nothing to do with Vorobyev. Before Knight’s injury, I had him ahead of Leir, Weise and Lehtera in the roster battles. He plays an energetic defensively sound 2 way game, can play center and both wings and the PK. He skates and battles. He fits well into Hak’s system. As a 12th or 13th guy on the 4th line, he looks good, very versatile. As for the comparisons to Chris Vandevelde. What? Well, really....just because they came from the same college. I hope you’re not going to snub everyone from North Dakota. They produced many good, some great players while Hak coached there.

I don’t believe their playing styles are all that similar. Vandevelde is more physical with little offensive upside. I also don’t remember him being versatile or as fast. If you think all 4th line players are similar based on being slotted on the 4th line, there’s that. Oh...and they are both 6’ 2”! Knight has produced more points at every level so far and less penalty minutes. As far as the development course similarity...college, AHL/NHL...it’s certainly not unique.

I think they see a chance to get Knight in to play. Nothing wrong with that, he was great in pre season and brings speed the team lacks.

Horseface should be the one sitting.

Yes, when Vorobyev gets to return to the lineup, we will see who the odd man out really is.

PLEASE NO!

That is all we need is another call the the refs get to decide.

Keep it like it is, black and white. No glass = penalty.

Good, solid start. Great to see TK get one. Also, even though they only got 20 seconds to work with, thought the 2nd pp unit looked good.

Keep it up boys!

You dont a goalie to make a momentum save when the team doesn't get momentum from the save

Totally agree.

This is the league that can't get things like goaltender interference, "distinct kicking motion" and "principle point of contact" done consistently and correctly. I don't want to give the refs another judgement call during the course of the game.
