I second this. One of the more insidious Propositions I've ever seen.

It is. My company (AMR) has poured close to 22 million dollars into this proposition so they don’t have to deal with the 100 million dollar lawsuit of missed lunch pay. They are trying to go around California’s labor laws and it’s maddening.

I never usually bring politics into a sports blog but if I can spread the word where ever I will on this PROP 11. We as first responders will NEVER NOT RUN A CALL. I can tell you I’ve had to leave my hot meal or not get my food that I ordered due to a 911 call down the street countless times.

I vote No on all propositions by default. Propositions are usually politicians and lobbyists trying to fool the public into helping them pass things that they don't have the power or ability to on their own. Most of them raise taxes or re-allocate funds to the benefit of those who put them on the ballot. There are usually good reasons why they can't do it without the people's consent, but, unfortunately, people tend to be naive and give it to them, anyways... then, later, complain about taxes, ever increasing regulations and lobbyist influence

Back on track... it's too bad that we can't vote No on Stevens.
