Your rankings obviously differ from mine Ross. The proof is in the pudding though on who has been correct on the matter. Enstrom and Dano were both dumped by the Jets and Myers is still here and playing 20 plus minutes per night. You are ignoring that Myers was fantastic in last years playoffs and been very strong the last four games. So your basically pinning the one game in Dallas and a mediocre game in St. Louis on him when in actuality he's been very strong in the last 18/20 games. Much stronger actually than Trouba in that time frame.

All but one of the points you made here is comically out to lunch.
-Enstrom left the Jets because of Maurice
-Myers has not been better than Trouba, has not been very good at all, and is only playing 20 minutes because Buff is hurt and we only have 3 top 4 dmen
-Myers was passable in the playoffs, as his jump in offence was matched with his struggle to keep up
-Dano totally got dumped, and Chevy is an idiot for allowing us to dump Dano so we can healthy scratch a 19 year old rookie for a career AHLer when neither have to pass through waivers

Just for fun tonight I decided to keep track of defensive mistakes that led to a scoring chance by the other team ( Vancouver in this case). I will update in the intermissions. I usually do this anyways but just keep rough track in my head as we go.

Period 1:

Morrow =1
Morrissey =2
Buff = 1
Chariot = 0
Trouba = 0
Myers = 0

Period 2:

Morrow =0
Morrissey =0
Buff = 0
Chariot = 0
Trouba = 1
Myers = 1

Period 3:

Morrow =0
Morrissey =1
Buff = 0
Chariot = 1
Trouba = 1
Myers = 0

Totals:

Morrow =1
Morrissey =3
Buff = 1
Chariot = 1
Trouba = 2
Myers = 1

Nothing serious as only one of those scoring chances was very dangerous except the Vancouver goal. Also Morrissey and Buff were tremendous offensively and Myers was pretty good as well. Trouba seems to have backed off on the offence this season.

Good game by the Jets . Hellybucyk not real busy. So far 5/6 points on the homestand.

Agreed . Little was great last night. I'm not a Little basher like several guys on here. He is a valuable engine on the Jets that does all those "little" things right that no one really notices and unlike Perreault, he has a very quick, accurate, and deceptive shot.

If anyone was ever questioning Morrissey as being our number two defenseman on the depth charts, I think last nights game was a good example of how dominating he can be when activated. He is finally looking like the Morrissey I watched play for the Raiders and Rockets now that he is opening his game up. I still stand by my rankings earlier in this thread with Buff at number 1 though.

TLC line also showed some decent offense last night.

We just disagree.
Fantastic in last years playoffs is a very big stretch, he had some nice offensive moments but put our team at risk in our zone every shift.
Fans on here, me included obviously have their opinions and can highlite the good or bad of the players we like or dislike very easily.
I think yourself and ultimate will always pump up Myers and highlite Trouba when he’s bad and Rexy and I will do the opposite.
It’s all good, we all cheer for the same results just see different ways of getting there.
I will say though, since winning the cup is the only goal until this team wins the cup with a certain roster trying to make a point about a player who’s here or one the team has moved on from should not carry any water.

I’ve missed the last two games due to being away but I’m back, so Saturday I’ll be able to chime in.

for what it's worth the NHL's bottom 14 teams (analytic driven teams such as Arizona included) from 2017/18 passed on the opportunity to claim Dano from waivers. It took an old coach (Bednar) to step up and say there is something salvageable in his career. Chevy was not an idiot, he was doing Dano a favour because he was passed by on the Jets.

I'm sure there was a Bednar phone call and some serious pleading by Dano to take a chance on him. Otherwise, he was Moose bound because no one else would have taken him. There is almost always a phone call before a team picks up a player laying out the expectations and roles and making them understand that they are basically back on trial.

Colorado's top line is one of the best in the league. That wont change . The second line is set as well. His role will be as a fill in on the third or fourth line as they rotate Nietto , Kamanev, and Dries in and out of the lineup.

I just realized we still have Mathieu Perreault. Keep forgetting he's on our roster. I noticed him when he got hit and was kneeling by the boards for a while.

What about Bryan Little? He's got goals against Vancouver and Carolina. Wish he had some against Vegas and Nashville last year in the playoffs. For some reason his line mates took all the criticism for a lack of scoring then.

Otherwise I am happy he's scoring again. We need secondary scoring to step-up.

His role is becoming seriously diminished. He may be expendable well before his contract is up. He now represents not much more than decent depth for the Jets.
