Not at all. We just endured multiple pages of left vs right wing racism from a non hockey related story. This blog is incapable of keeping things civil within canuck related discussion and gets massively personal during non hockey related.

Beagle will end up being another tragic Benning signing, sadly, I can't wait until Aquilini fires his dumb ass!!!

"too much balls" - that's kinda funny

He wasn't needed, it was a dumb signing, same with Schaller, Roussel, on the other hand, IMO, is an excellent signing.

beagle's been great on the PK. i know we don't want to win, but benning does.

schaller's getting there. i can see it. 12 goals again might be a stretch though. probably doesnt add much over the next guy.

roussell's impact already has surprised me already. im glad he can skate.

I don't think anyone except trump (don....) is going to get into attacking a victim of sexual abuse for speaking out...
- Pres.cup

Lol stop reaching prezzy. Lefty pointing out schallers girlfriend and me pointing out that non hockey related stories generally turn nasty here isnt me speaking out about a sexual abuse victim. Im probably one of the most PC dudes in here, huge activists for things that most people poke fun of, no need to get keyboard warrior on me.

Signing any one of those guys in isolation would have looked good, all three, especially the two 4 year deals, does not.

Well since I don't go to games anymore, I refuse to with Benning in charge, you're right, it doesn't come out of my pocket, that said, it bothers me because I want the team to get better eventually and him being around for four years (unlikely) isn't helping.

Wasnt trying to differentiate the two, was simply pointing out that no matter what the topic is, if it isnt canuck related, be prepared for pages and pages of pointless and non-coherent bickering lol

There’s two sides to this, and I believe we can be on both. 1) ABCsey is right, it’s not technically our money, who gives a (frank) if Aqua wastes a few million of his hard earned dollars on Gagner, Beagle, Eriksson etc. And 2) we want the team to have the flexibility and resources to be able to pull the trigger on a FA signing, or high profile trade when the time is right, and anchor contracts like these could derail that.

Over the years I’ve learned that most conversations on here have a lifespan. No point in trying to revive once they’ve happened. Plus I’ve given nighthawk and Booner a hard time about doing it.

But if I log on and there is 25-30 pages then I’ll usually go peek to see what the commotion was all about.

Beagle's been good on the PK but I don't think they needed to sign him to improve the PK, could've been done with a lesser signing and saved that cap space, but oh well, this is Benning.

BTW...cap space can be used to acquire draft picks for a rebuilding team, if you're wondering where I was going with that.

You are just being sucked in, he likes to bait people, get them all riled up, and then concede say Benning is ok. Lasts a day, and then back to the Benning is an idiot again.

Same shtick different day

Benning will always and forever be an idiot for a GM, that'll never change, however, over time, with continued poor finishes, the team will get better. Despite his ludicrous free agent signings and poor ability to acquire draft picks.
