At this point it really does seem like the best option.

Kap-AM-Marleau
Hyman-JT-Mitch
Brown-Kadri-Nylander
Johnsson/Leivo-Goat-Lindholm

Then if things get a bit shaky/off, you swap Nylander and Kap.

- markmark

The best option is to ask Matthews who he wants to play with, and then set the next three lines with whomever is left.

No, I'm not kidding.

Put up 80 points a couple years in a row with Brown and Kad's and we'll show you the money, you'll just have to play for another team and make $8-$10m/yr.

If nylander signs, he'll be back with matthews in a few games. Kap moves down.
Cant afford to have kap lighting it up this year.
He'll expect a hefty raise as well.

Not so sure Wedgie. Tavares and Marner seem to be very solid.

Matthews, so far, has done well with who is left.

Has Marner played center at all this year? He's still listed as a C/RW on yahoo.

Me might have played a few shifts at center last season but that's it. Even in London he was a winger.

Weren't there reports that during the Arizona Summit last summer, Matthews expressed his desire to play with Marner?

Marner sucks, that's why he's on line 2 and not line 1.

Leafs have too much talent. They are cap-screwed.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

I'm sure glad our team doesn't have a talent problem!

Hopefully we can make some runs before we have to trade off the talent

Most NHL players grew up dreaming of playing for the Leafs.

Patrick Kane grew up in Buffalo, so he obviously dreamed of getting the hell out of there and coming to Toronto. Judging by his mullet, he actually dreamed of moving to Scarborough.

As a young boy, Zach Parise would listen to his dad tell stories about playing for the Leafs - the happiest times J.P. had as a professional. And he loved Garfield.

the answer is no, move on stop asking players or anyone else.

When asked if he thought Auston Matthews was better than Connor McDavid, Mark Scheifele offered up an emphatic "No."

One shot on net...All year.

Cherry picking.
Way more shot attempts and a bucketload of ‘shot’ passes for deflections.
It is crazy the limits some will go to to justify their Gardiner hate.

He has 6 points in 7 games without being on the #1 PP unit, that's not bad at all. He could easily still hit the 40-50 point mark

That being said, I agree with him not looking that great out there. Seems off for sure.

Zaitsev has looked really good out there so far. I've been really impressed with his play.

- LeafGuy89

I still holding my breath on Zaitsev. Better than last year but still some brutal pinches like the first shift against the caps to give up a goal 18sec into the game. I do expect him to continue to improve.
OZ has been improving game to game which is great and Dermott is finding his game. Those two looked good together last night.

Neither of them are better than Laine.
