Except when the refs gifted the kings with a couple power plays in the 2nd to help get their confidence up and swing the momentum. - bryant
The slashing calls on marner were a joke. |

Leafs have the 12th most powerplays in the league.
Keep in mind theyre the only team to have played 7 games. There are 17 teams with 2 or more games in hand. Some teams even have 3 or 4 games in hand. Ive noticed that as the game goes on the calls go in the other teams favour in order to keep them in the game. - systemtool
officiating already in PlayOff / Post Season form... memories of Boston. |

Fun fact about Phaneuf.
When the kings played the Sens, with the salary retained by Ottawa in the Phaneuf trade, he was the highest paid defenseman on the ice for the Sens.
And he was playing for the other team.

Yeah, I saw.
Peca pretty much made him irrelevant...
They gave this guy every chance in the world to prove he was more than a 4th line centre.
He's not. |

Bizarre opening to the year. Mtl and Ottawa playing well. Florida’s off to terrible start. Winnipeg has been mediocre. |

I must say, plenty of surprises to start the year. St-Louis is looking awful!
I can't say for the other teams, but the way Habs were playing in preseason, I did mention they'd do better than people thought....
So far so good. |

Same thing happened last year.
Amazing that a team which is pretty much all skill with almost zero physical element doesn't get the penalty calls. |

What the (frank) were the calls on Marner? They didn't replay the second one in the arena and the first he barely even reached in with his stick and got called for a slash?? |

I have O’reilly too.
My worst pick has been patches.
My last 2 picks were duchene and Justin Williams, and they’ve been decent. |
