Matthews with no nylander - 15 goals 13 assist = 28

Theyll set it similar to the drinking laws maybe
- Fakepartofme

So they'll only be able to do it in a private residence.

No Anderson no problem. Just do what the 80's Oilers did back then - open the flood gates and win games 6-5 or 7-6 or....... Even the Hawks won their first 2 cups with half ass net minding so for the Leafs to really worry about a short Anderson absence - - - na. This is nothing more than a minor blip on the radar.

Dermott looked really solid last night...some nice fakes/feigns to give himself a lot more room.

I think Hainsey has looked ok too though....he may not be very quick anymore ( ever? ) but he's usually in a pretty good position and takes care of the puck when he does get it. ( for the most part ) JMO

- Garnie

The fact that I haven’t noticed hainsey the last 2 games is good news. If I notice him it usually not for a good reason.

Good to see Phaneuf is still Phaneuf. So many high and wide shots last night and on the Marner goal he wen't full brain-dead.

No comment on Sparks' game because honestly LA didn't look threatening at any point in the game...

Fun fact about Phaneuf.

When the kings played the Sens, with the salary retained by Ottawa in the Phaneuf trade, he was the highest paid defenseman on the ice for the Sens.

And he was playing for the other team.

While sporting a team sv% of .893

some of the underlying stats are pretty average..the PP is deadly.

- senstroll

Meh, most games we look in control for the most part.

Last thing I'm worried about is the goalie....more worried about what the D are giving up....and they didn't look too bad for most of last night.

Except when the refs gifted the kings with a couple power plays in the 2nd to help get their confidence up and swing the momentum.

Reading all the Sparks is a disaster, last game as a leafs lose 9-1

*wonders if kapanen is still nothing more than an ahler. Wonders if he's still no better than Ennis. *

True...he's even scored twice already this season...I see people took him in the HBSL pool this week.

Leafs have the 12th most powerplays in the league.

Keep in mind theyre the only team to have played 7 games. There are 17 teams with 2 or more games in hand. Some teams even have 3 or 4 games in hand. Ive noticed that as the game goes on the calls go in the other teams favour in order to keep them in the game.
