No, it was pretty accurate. LA dominated a lot of the offensive zone, they just lack finishing ability. It would be ideal if the Leafs played like LA to take the pressure off their D and goalie and with their deadly shooters, they'd score even more than they already do.

well we don't know what the deal actually was, but yeah, I bet the situation is not getting better for him day to day. I seriously doubt Dubas is increasing his offer, either long term or on a bridge deal.

Babs just meant he wants him to play like Hyman without the puck, grinding in the corners and what not. Thats all he meant by that comment. Kapanen's hockey IQ and play making abilities are far better than Hyman's.

The way I see it, we are similar to the Pittsburgh model.

If Matthews and Tavares and Rielly are like our versions of Crosby, Malkin and Letang. That leaves Kessel. Who is our Kessel? Willie thinks its him, but its really Marner, so Willie is pretty much our James Neal. He isn’t worth as much as the other guys. Good guy to have, but jumps ship for more money elsewhere. Someone will pay him. Won’t be us though. We will package him and Gardiner for a good right handed defenseman to play with Rielly.
