I don't know, A lot of people keeping thinking the Blues as a Western Powerhouse, I just don't see it. Always seemed to be like a good team but can never get over that hump, and in the early going they still look like that. I could be wrong by season's end but they always seem like they're missing something to get them to that next level.

Allen and about $3m more in cap space would have to be included to make this trade even work. Sounds great for the Blues being able to bring up Husso next year but not sure why Columbus would want to do that unless they like Allen. |

while the Blues haven’t had a true #1 in 20 years, I’m not sure a goalie the skaters are more confident in would automatically fix the problems happening in front of said goaltender. The Blues need a new defensive coach, and could be in the market for a new head coach if their current play becomes a trend. As much as it would be great to have Bob, I think the price would be too high, especially considering the Blues have a high-end goalie prospect likely coming up next season. |

The Blues can go for it all they want, they won’t win a cup even if they added Martin Brodeur...wait, they already tried that.
I second this, this team is just not a Cup Contender, no matter how to slice it. They never have been, aren't now, and never will be until something major changes. They just don't have the "it" factor when it comes to playoff time. You can win all you want in the regular season, but it doesn't mean crap if you crap the bed in the playoffs. And the Blues are very good at crapping their beds. |
