Even if Kapanen wasn't capable (which he is) the Leafs have 3 guys who are capable of making their linemates better than they really are so either way, Nylander could still get moved.

At first i didn't want to trade Nylander but mostly because i didn't think they had anyone who could play on that top line with Matthews. Kappy has shown that he's capable.

I feel like if they trade Willy for a dman they'll get shafted on the deal. I'd prefer to get picks back and maybe a LW (25-28ish) who could bring some physicality to the bottom 6.

I cant believe im biting on this, but...

Yes they have Marner, but they also have Tavares who signed here so he could finally play with an elite playmaker. So putting Mitch with Auston isn't really an option. Kap until now hasn't really shown anything to suggest he'd be a fit with Matthews. Other than Kap and Mitch, who else could play with Auston?

As for the LW i meant it along with picks.. Preferable a 1st +... And this player would also need to chip in with 20 or more goals and work with Kadri.. A younger Perron? Or a Krieder type guy...

I ran into a patch of stinging nettle once while chasing down a frisbee. You know right away you ran into the wrong plant brother.

I try to teach all the kids and parents in our neighborhood about the plants in our woods and pathways...I think all kids should spend a few summers on a farm and in the woods.

i like plants.

i took forestry in college..

spending time on a farm as a kid builds character for sure. Working hard, having fun, getting stung by wasps, constant smell of cowpoop..
