It’s not definitively a roster problem. The same roster played a good first period and an absolutely horrible second then an ok third. There are roster issues but it’s more a combination of that and lack of effort.

For all the talk about how much the staff liked that third line they didn’t get much of a look.

Finished with 586.5.

The only flaw I really see in the fantasy is at forward. There are so many centers who are actually playing wing that it makes it difficult to do some things you want.

IMO it should be three of each forward position and three more slots to be filled by any forward position you want.

F it. Jacko will never get any accolades from RW. What a pitty. The guys has played worth of his contract so far. I don't care if he's not getting points. Physical play and good outlet pass.

I was already innerly celebrating my victory going into the last game with a 6pts lead, but then i realized that my goalie (after a good last game and a restday) was scratched because "the backup earned to play"... resulting into a very painful loss (would have won with the backups numbers).

Congrats to Matt and Thorny for great peformances.

What do you feel are the roster issues are?

I think that the signings of Cullen, Oleksiak, and Johnson were all mistakes. I think Oleksiak needs sheltered, as does Johnson and so does Schultz to an extent.

I don’t understand having that much money tied up into your defensemen especially when they aren’t really that good. That money could have been used in legit upgrades over Oleksiak and Hunwick.

They traded away Conor Sheary who was actually a decent middle six forward and replaced him with a broke down Cullen. I don’t hate the Sheary trade but I think they could have done better to bring it a bottom six winger. I would have rather had Kunitz than Cullen every day of the week.

I think that the line blender is really weird. I don’t see how having Brassard on a line with Sid helps, I thought they had an alright game— they had some chances but I still think Brass as a 3C would be better.

I don’t think The 4th line is skilled enough for Sprong (with Cullen as C) I think a 4th line of Simon-Sheahan-Sprong could do some damage but ultimately I’d like to see Sprong in a 3rd line role.
