My prediction is Cory Schneider. It was already rumored that Calgary was sniffing around with him before they pulled the trigger with Smith. At that time the asking price was to high but since than his value has definitely gone down and there back up is getting the job done.

I believe he has 3 years left on a 6 million dollar contract, which is a perfect stop gap in my onion.

If BT could some how unload Froliks contract I wouldn't mind seeing Cory in red.

So he's not going to bother resigning Tkachuk or Bennett? The Flames still have three goalies who could all be very good starters in the NHL. Why give Bobrovsky an 80 million dollar contract, especially since he's likely already peaked.

All your scenarios only work if the cap is going up 10 million every year, not to mention that a package of Hamonic and Frolik isn't going to bring anything back. Frolik is a prime candidate to be bought out next yet, why is a team going to be trading for him?

I would be down with Schneider. Gotta wonderful how happy Lundquist is on a rebuilding team. At 8.5 for 2 years he might be an option. Would cost us some youth but they would probably take an unwanted contract back to make it work.
